
Digital Life writes: "Among the titles that Microsoft hopes will help expand the Xbox360's audience this Christmas, the karaoke game Lips looks most likely to succeed. It builds on the foundations of Sony's astonishingly popular SingStar franchise, which has sold more than 14million copies.
Many of the innovations stem from the wireless microphones that come with Lips. They have flashing lights and motion sensors that are employed in rhythm games created by experienced Japanese developers iNiS, makers of Gitaroo Man and Elite Beat Agents.
The motion sensors are also utilised when crooning. Good singing fills up a gauge that eventually allows players to earn bonus points for crowd-pleasing gestures, such as simple taps or swinging the microphone over your head."
