Smash has me hype to hell, New Fire Emblem is sweet, but they didn't show much unfortunately. I was hoping to see Metroid Prime 4 amd SMT 5.

As a switch owner you really need to STFU! It was without a doubt the worst of the big 3.

It was a good show, but I was hoping for at least 1 or 2 new games from Nintendo. Half the show was dedicated to Smash. A bit disappointing, but the games all looked good.

At least there wasn't much filler, and they weren't stalling. The show was tight overall. Just could have had more, like where were Metroid and the Yoshi game? Fortnite being available today was a significant announcement though.

Out of your mind. Worst format for an E3 presentation ever. I don't know how Nintendo fans are happy with ZERO DETAILS FOR A LARGE NUMBER OF GAMES?! NO ANIMAL CROSSING! NO METROID! what else am I missing? Microsoft had the biggest bomb drop in acquiring studios to include Ninja Theory. Sony had the most jaw dropping games EVER SEEN. NINTENDO HAD 45 MIN OF SMASH PATCH NOTES!!

Not even close. Of the shows I watched (Ms, Nintendo, Sony, Square Enix and Ubisoft) it was by far the worst. Showed pokemon let's go but didn't actually show us anything new. Everything else was uninteresting and Smash looks awful and wasted way too much time.

I have a Switch but, my choice for best conference goes to Bethesda.

No Metroid Prime, no F-Zero, no Animal Crossing, no major game announcements. How the FUCK is this a winning presentation? How can anyone shit on Sony and Microsoft's conferences and praise this one? Pure hypocrisy.

The best thing they showed for me was that Mario Party is going back to its old school N64 form.

I love Smash, but a 30 min showcase of every single character was boring as hell. I wouldve been happy with just a 3 min fight or something.

Did we watch the same Nintendo Direct!? Because that was almost as pointless as the Square broadcast... I say almost because they actually showed some stuff but when your entire show is pretty much dedicated to going through every Smash character, i feel like you just sh*t the bed.

I was surprised at the lack of new footage or info for the new Yoshi game more than anything. I wasn't expecting anything on Metroid, seeing as how we only got a title screen last year. I loved the in depth look at Smash, but It needed another game or so.

Overall, this year's E3 hasn't been very exciting from anyone, really. I didn't "feel" it this year.

Nah I gotta disagree on that one. There were alot of things missing. Yes Smash Bros. Ultimate looks great. But it was missing other games we kinda expected.

Mario Odyssey DLC, Animal Crossing, Metroid Prime 4, Pikmin 4, Yoshi, etc. Where were they all at?

I still think Microsoft had the best e3 conference this year. They showed so many games and were boom boom boom nonstop.

Microsoft may have won this E3 actually. (Not on N4G of course but the general consensus seems to indicate at Microsoft's victory).
Maybe the bar was set too low for Microsoft that was the biggest reason why everyone can appreciate Microsoft today.

Not to me Nintendo basically showed the same Nintendo stuff which is why I won't buy a Switch,it's a tie with MS & Sony.Sony for the substance of killer hardcore exclusives & MS for the flair & multi-plats.

I love Nintendo but this is shocking if this is all they have to show. They should be on fire this year with the success they've gained, very disappointed very.

I'm a big Nintendo fan, and even I will admit that I can see the reason why people were disappointed with what was shown. While i myself as a smash fan has no issue with a lot of smash being shown, but I think it would've made more sense to at least TEASE a new animal crossing or something more to appease fans.

Or even better, show off more projects, then announce that after the Smash Invitational tournament they'll go into detail about everything as they did with the conference, that way the smash fans would've had a double dose of hype given seeing the game played in real time for the first time, and hearing all the details afterwards without polarizing their community and coming off as tone deaf.

This whole E3 was really disappointing to me MS had the best paced conference with multiplat reveals Sony easily has the best exclusives that looked out of this world good .. and Nintendo dear god i expected much more from them there is nothing to play on the Switch until December like really Nintendo ? i cant believe this i seriously cant believe it. >:-(

That's a stretch, and I'm a Nintendo fan. Honestly, the thing I was most excited about during the entire direct was a new demo for Octopath Traveler in 2 days. Sony's showing was the best of a very weak E3 IMO. Maybe Nintendo will show something interesting during the Treehouse.

Got my Nintendo Switch just last week to beat the hordes of Nintendo diehards rushing to buy the Switch and then this Direct happened...I'm underwhelmed but still happy that Smash is coming out by the end of this year.

I didn’t even watch it, and I can tell by their YT feed it was pretty bad. Basically multiplats, indies, and Smash. Not even a dozen games were shown. No Pokémon, no Metroid, no Starfox, no Retro new title, etc.

Smash is a day 1 buy, but that show doesn’t convince me to pick up my Switch again until December 7th.

This has been the worse e3, the big 3 were not good for various reasons lack of exclusives, spending to much time on one game and odd presentations. If there was a winner this e3 it is none of them it would be either Ubisoft or Bethesda.

Excited for smash but Nintendo could have at least shown new games coming up.

I honestly would have preferred if Nintendo set precedent and refused to even have an E3 presentation over what we got. That was basically a Smash direct, which they could have done any time. We KNOW that multiple games are in development, like Bayo 3, Yoshi, AC, Metroid Prime 4, hell, even Luigi's Mansion on 3DS. Not hyping for these products by only showing what is releasing this year just makes people realize how little they'll be playing this year. They made the wrong move. As a Nintendo fan, I am very salty right now. Screw that, as a gamer, 2018 has sucked in general for me, aside from Monster Hunter, GoW and some indies.

Here come the Sony fans claiming they had the best conference even though it was awful. I was really excited for Sony since I own more Sony things than anything else (PS4 plus vr) but damn they disappointed me so badly. Nintendo wasn’t great but it at least gave me a few surprises. Microsoft did the best this year which is unfortunate for me since I don’t even like Xbox. Sony fans need to learn to admit not everything from Sony is godlike. Their e3 conference was extremely disappointing, even compared to Nintendo’s only decent one.

It all comes down to the games for me and the types of games I enjoy. Microsoft’s presso was decent and had some good games, but still not enough for me. Looking forward to Gears and Halo though. PlayStation had an awful format to their conference, felt like not a lot of effort, but the games they showed were all amazing in my opinion and they ‘won’ E3 for me because of the games. My Switch gathers dust and after that presso will still gather dust as none of their games were interesting for me at all. I’m pretty much waiting in Metroid 4, but that’s on me as I generally don’t like Nintendo’s franchises or the really Japensey games. PlayStation won it for me based on the games. Quite liked Ubisoft’s showcase too.
