Smash Bros is taking up the entire conference they should have done a Smash Direct.... I mean I LOVE all the converage but....I'd like to see other games and maybe online service details

Basically, it was the Super Smash Bros show. If you are not a fan of that game, then there was nothing much to see from Nintendo. Disappointing.

Nintendo's E3 was hype as hell imo. I don't know if they won Smash, but they're tied with Microsoft for the top spot for me.

I think what everyone is also forgetting is that Nintendo also has directs, and they also announce games over a 3 day period at the Nintendo treehouse.

Did I miss something? Did they show any Metroid game?

Wow outside of smash this confrence was ass but fortnite will be huge for the switch.

After 15 minutes with smash I had to turn it off.. this was plain boring.

I see a lot of complaints about Microsoft being reliant on Halo, Gears and Forza, but the same argument can be made about Nintendo. They shoehorn Mario into everything, what is this, the 5th game involving Mario on the Switch now? Zelda and Pokemon are the other two, i don't really see how it's that much different from Microsoft in all honesty.

Nintendo has the worst E3 by far..... I'm only excited if I'm a Smash fan, which I am. BUT WE GOT ZERO ONLINE DETAILS, Xenoblade DLC was a huge highlight for me. No Metroid Prime details. No major game announcements. NO POKEMON DETAILS?! You're out of your mind if you think Nintendo saved E3. Worst by far.

Not a smash brothers fan so this conference was pointless.

Nintendo has more directs this year coming and I know they reveal stuff during those...

But this is E3. So many people are watching and anticipating more.

No Prime 4 news, no Animal Crossing, no Yoshi details, no Retro Studios' game, etc.

Saying this was a let down is an understatement. Happy for Smash, Mario Party, and Fire Emblem, but there's hardly anything else besides a few new third party games that are coming late.

Smash looked really good. I wish they would have gone more into detail on some of the games they flew through (short clips of like 20 different games over the span of maybe 2 minutes wasn't enough, and it seemed like there were some relatively significant ones in there).

Mario Party with playing across two Switches looked cool. If one of my friends gets it, I'll be getting it, too. We've had lots of good times with that series.

I've never played Fire Emblem. Maybe I'll start, but I feel like I'd be really behind. Same with Xenoblade. Both looked good, but we'll see. Definitely getting Octopath providing the reviews aren't total trash.

Unlike everyone else, they didn't talk about anything that's coming out past 2018. Last year they were both praised and panned for mentioning future Pokemon and Metroid games. I wish we would have gotten updates on both, but I'm not shocked that they're focusing on the immediate future as it's what they typically do.

If paladins can release on switch blizzard needs to get to if they have not already. Bring overwatch to switch

That was a great show IMO, Smash looks awesome, with a massive character roster and list of stages, with tonnes of gameplay features.

That Machina game looked awesome, same goes for Fire Emblem and Mario Party looks like loads of fun.
As with Sony, Nintendo have made me glad I own a Switch, there's just so many great games to play on each that I just can't get on any other platforms.

Nintendo won on how their presentation was organised and tied on gameplay reveals for me, but since Nintendo announced more new things I think they win E3 for me, with Sony a shortly behind 2nd (because of how phenomenal their exclusives look) and Microsoft way in the back behind Bethesda and Ubisoft's, EA was about the worst, though I think Square had some cool announcements like that Quiet Man game and their new Platinum Games collaboration for PS4 and PC.

Overall E3 has been pretty disappointing this year, saved by Nintendo and Sony and a smattering of 3rd party announcements..
Bethesda would have been great had Walmart not leaked Rage 2.

Well no Bayonetta 3 or Metroid news is disappointing. Smash looked great though.

I found it to be very disappointing. I at least expected some info on Metroid Prime for Switch, it's been a year and we've still only seen a logo.

Underwhelmed with the Nintendo conference, total Smash Bros overkill. I was expecting more from Nintendo.

Overall, I still think Microsoft won in the end out of the big 3. Sony's had pacing issues, but the first party titles were there, Nintendo's I enjoyed because I am a fan of Smash but i can see where people could be bothered by it.

As an E3 presentation it was disappointing, no hiding that. However, Smash has been apart of my life ever since the first one and the series as a whole has a lot of personal meaning to me and my family, so Smash was amazing to see.

Was a little under whelming. Main project was Smash bros.
Really wanted the Diablo 3 rumours to be real. :(

.. this blew.. Smash is literally the one game I couldn't have cared less about. I'm amazed people are still into this after so long. I was one of the avid players back in the day but cmon. It's the same formula over and over. Where's Pokemon? Animal Crossing? Metroid? anything but smash and splatoon.. As a switch owner, Mario tennis and Octopath are the only games I'm looking forward to right now.

I will admit, I wanted more, but Smash is easily game of the show and this was much better than Sony's joke of a conference.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.

Is this like the 10th quarter in a row they're down 33% on hardware how is that even mathematically possible. You would think their mediocrity would Plateau
