Where do you go after Infinity naming scheme wise? Will the Halo after this be called Infinity +1?

So this is an announcement for a game engine and halo infinite will be the next Halo. If that the case from what I can see it's made to be an open world game. That is not really what I expected but to be completely honest I'm very impressed. The halo engine to this day is still from the same one bungie made when halo began and to change that is a huge step for the series direction.

I can see what they are trying to achieve with the next Halo game. I may feature a vast open world gameplay where you can fly around. Or maybe this is for battle royale mutiplayer. For whichever it is I'm pumped to see what they have to show us.

So no date then?

Halo 4 and 5 was dog shit if they can make it as great as halo 2 was back in the day then I’m all in

Game engine demonstration means what actually? Just wondering if trailer is more like a concept for the game or tech trailer. Just the term threw me back.

That was a pretty unspectacular reveal. I was fully expecting more from the trailer/update for the next Halo. 2020 earliest if that is all we got.

I see snow and become intrigued. Snow automatically gets me interested in games as it's my favourite weather type for games. I hate Halo, but I'll atleast see how this game ends up before hating on it like I have every halo after 2

This trailer (engine showcase) was junk... I'm afraid this game is a good 3 years away. Not sure why some are saying it looks amazing... I thought the animation from the animals looked off, the warthog looked like it wasn't even touching the ground...

I thought in general they had a great showing, but they basically had a 3rd party conference sprinkled with little 1st party. I'm sure it fooled the enthusiast, but when the dust settles in a few weeks, people are going to come away scratching their heads "that was basically smoke & mirrors... You played me again Microsoft"

No love from this particular trailer, but note at the conference, as the trailer was ending they flashed the Windows 10 name alongside the game. Finally getting one for pc again.

It seemed like a scripted promise. I wont fall for it until i see gameplay. Could end up for the next box for all anyone knows. I hope its a great game but i dont trust them

Is this a Battle Royale game? Or a direct sequel to Halo 5 either way looks like it’ll drop the team based thing and focus on a solo Master Chief game (a big plus for me).

The textures in Halo 6 has greatly improved. Hopefully, the final product looks that way.

The most intriguing part of this trailer is the speed of the Warthog and how it absorbs the terrain, it reminds me of the first trailer back when Halo was announced for Mac

I don't think anyone is really all that surprised. 10 years is a lofty length of time for most studios, and it's like like Infinite held the same draw as something like GTA or similar games that managed it.

Lack of identity and chasing something for Halo that isn't Halo could only mean failure in the end.

Now they have time to finish the split screen mode.Another broken promise. LOL

Microsoft can’t be trusted.

Microsoft is the equivalent of keeping a gun pointed at your foot and constantly pulling the trigger.

Halo: CE to Halo Reach was only 8 years.

Halo has now been a mediocre-to-bad franchise for longer than Bungie had it for, which is crazy. It's same with Forza and Gears of War; once Xbox's top-quality franchises reduced to run-of-the-mill AAA games that fade into obscurity the moment they're released (or in Forza's case, the main franchise is DOA).

This is what happens when everyone involved is a weasel. Eventually the whole thing comes crashing down.
