People like you are why others (or even members of the community) call the video game community toxic.

People are just playing what they enjoy. If they didn't get actual enjoyment out of it they wouldn't be wasting their time, they would doing, or playing something else. They aren't playing them because that's what the crowd is playing. Hell, God of War is a perfect example. Clearly you don't deem people that play that to be sheep, even though it's quite obvious from the sales numbers that a very large amount of people are playing it.

Just because a large amount of people like certain games, enough people in fact that a lot of developers are trying to get their own version of the genre on the market, doesn't make them "sheep" anymore than the people that play the games YOU enjoy.

For the type of game god of war is, this is huge news. Name me any other hack n slash game on a single platform that has this kind of success sales wise.

I think GOW has it on lock. Even multiplatform, Spider-man’s never sold like GOW 2018. Superhero movies are gold right now, but the videogames have been more miss than hit.

Rocksteady’s Arkhams, that’s the measuring stick for Insomniac’s Spidey. But they’ll need more than Negative man. Conroy and Hamil were a huge asset that Spidey ‘18 doesn’t have. Yet.

Really? So you made the game? How much you make for each sale? I love god of war but never understand someone cheering for a corporation that just wants your money, and every corporation wants that. They can say they are for the consumer but most view us as sheep with wallets. And yes all companies do this.

That made me sit up and take notice as well. I think it's fair to say that MS strategy this gen has not been as successful as they had hoped. I don't know what they need to do to turn it around this gen. Unfortunately for them they still don't have the studios to take them into next gen. If they rely primarily on third party going into next gen, I fear they will make the same mistake again. Compare that with Sony who are already getting their first party studios primed, so they can come out the gate swinging.

You claim MS Strategy is not successful this gen however you provide no real insight other than your own opinion. Smh.

Nintendo and Sony are the only companies out of the 3 making games. MS is just making consoles.

While games like Crackdown and State of Decay look cool, they never come out with some kind of jaw-dropper. It seems like Gears was the one and only time they did that.

State of Decay 2 won’t last long really. People buy a better game that was more polished and delivered what people what. I remember Sea Of Thieves sold about two hundreds thousands on VG Charts. It is rumored, but of course it show State Of Decay 2 will be just like Sea Of Thieves.
