Overall. Yes. MS needs to get on their A game before its too late.

As far Xbox One goes, I am hoping for a new Halo, big budget Fable, Gears Of War and some new IP's. More backwards compatibility announcements for OG XBox and XBox 360 is always good news (at least for me), especially if they are Xbox One X enhanced. I am actually happy with all current gen consoles. I want them all to do well at E3!!! The more games I can play, the better.

To me it feels like Microsoft are slowely killing xbox brand.

They have everything to prove. If they fall flat this generation is kaput......

It's not that they don't have the numbers when it comes to exclusives. It's just that compared to rest of the competition their exclusives are..well a joke really. What they need is not the exclusives in number only but in quality too. Sony's biggest exclusive this year are GOW and Detroit so far. Microsoft also released it's biggest exclusives- Sea of thieves and SOD2. Now just compare them...and the result is that there is a huge gap in quality between the and TBF there really is no comparison.
So even if they announce games this E3 it won't matter because announcing is not the real problem, it's delivering on those announcement where Microsoft really lacks. Quality, that's where they have to actually prove to their fans.

To me, I’m fine with what MS has offered. Since they have switched their mind set from games to services I’ve spent more time playing games. Do they need new ips and better “rated” games... maybe, but in this day and age I’m too busy with my kids and work to even really care.

We'll see next Sunday but I think the song will remain the same.

They will announce 10 year + old games with 4k resolution and xbots will clap like seals....

They've set the bar so low so that they can spare themselves the energy of having to actually show up to E3 with the intent of wowing people.

Xboners have shown that they can be easily swayed with very mediocre and abysmal video games and implementations. They continue to lift the burden off of M$ shoulders to do anything worthwhile with the set top box.

I’d throw in the towel this gen. Then i’d have to announce Xbox 2. I think going up against the PS5 is going to hurt, again. They have to do what Nintendo did and release off the cuff. Get a drop on them a little

MS has always been hung up on stuff like bragging rights but haven't been focused enough on giving gamers what they want, hence why they don't have much to brag about when compared to Sony and Nintendo. If they are to prove anything at this year's E3 it's that Xbox owners can have quality exclusives to play, contrary to what we've seen in the last few years.

Doesn't really matter, they lost. Microsoft has an incredibly weak first-party due, in part, to their length of time in the industry. Sony and Nintendo have head decades more time working with developers and establishing relationships, Microsoft doesn't. They just have money. So Microsoft needs to work in a similar fashion working with smaller and newer development companies to help them grow into veteran companies, if they can't do that, then they're lost, they're too far behind the two giants. Even with Scorpio Microsoft can't get ahead and they have the most powerful console. They can try with the next Xbox but, why bother? Xbox One X came out and nobody cares, they're still eating up Sonys console having played God of War, then onto Detroit, with Days Gone and Spider-Man (which is sold out in pre-orders on Amazon) with The Last of Us Part II everyone is waiting for around the corner to he followed up by Death Stranding and then Ghost of Tsushima, what does Microsoft have?

PlayStation has exactly one generation over Xbox. That's not an excuse at all. Xbox has been a thing for 17 years now. That's more than enough time to cultivate 1st party talent.

Not much really, xbox games seem to be happy with the mediocre games MS has released, all MS needs to do is more services, BC and 4k multiplates and no one will complain because they’ll believe they’ll have the better console. Any one that does complain will be instantly branded a fanboy that doesn’t know what they’re talking about.

Expect the usual gears, halo, forza, some Damage control numbers and stats for game pass SOT and SOD. Old BC games and missue of the word exclusive and controllers LOTS of controllers

But hey maybe they’ll finallyrelease Crackdown 3 a game thats almost on TLG status

Those stupid old people won't give gamers what they want, until their sales drop at an alarming rate and journalists start bad mouthing them.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
