SNK's retro approach is a bit frustrating for fans who enjoy a combination of quality and value, since its back-catalog offerings tend to provide one or the other, but never both. You can buy its crisp, perfectly emulated Virtual Console releases for $9 per title, or you can spend twice that for a compilation of five to 10 poorly emulated games. ADK Collection falls into the latter category: It includes five games, but the visual quality suffers from a degree of blurriness not present in the equivalent Virtual Console versions. Additionally, the front-end menus can be confusing and inconsistent.
