Greedy fing pigs don't buy if you want gaming to be great again

Man at this rate I don't really want to buy anything from EA anymore. The only thing that would make me buy something is Dead Space 4 which will never happen since EA thinks single player games are dead. Except lots of grinding microtransaction lootboxes in Anthem.

Blame the kids of today. I am a fouder member of FUT & in all those years I've never bought a pack with real money, I have great teams every year, it can be done, but kids of today can't wait. Like the battlepacks in Battlefield or the battle passes in Fortnite, all impatient & don't want to put the hours into the game. So the companies jump at it & who can blame them.

I don’t care about lootbox in UT mode. That mode is broken as hell and is beyond fixing anyway. What I do care is for you EA to not shoehorn and find every way to put the god damn lootboxes in every of your other games.

Of course, EA will continue to 'push forward' as it is easy money. This company will do whatever it pleases even break the law unless those laws are enforced and then some. In my opinion, the easiest way to get EA to change is to not buy their games, the ones with loot boxes and other money grabbing tactics. I guess this is probably ALL their games.

Well that attitude stinks. So any EA game from now on no matter how good it is. If it has gambling boxes ill buy it second hand. That way I get to play there game yet they won't see a penny from me and I hope more people do the same.

Great maybe eventually the Government shuts EA down. Even better if certain counties end up not allowed to sell EA games because of Loot Boxes

Only EA game I got in the last two years is Burnout Paradise remaster. I even regret that. No more EA games.

EA makes too much profit off these lootboxes. They rather pay a measly fine than to drop lootboxes.

Growing up they made some of my most anticipated games. Now I wish they would just die off. I've made an effort to never buy a new game from them again. I can only hope more people speak with their wallets when it comes to supporting terrible companies with cancerous practices. Think of it like this. Is EAs model helping or hurting the gaming industry? I'd say they're negatively impacting what we should expect and no one should support that, even if it means they make games you like do not buy a new copy, spend on used instead.

It all comes down to money. It’s a business & they’re making money off it & satisfying their investors. We already know they’re the scum of game companies. So the other half of the problem is the gamers who are buying loot boxes that are ruining it for the rest of us. As a gaming culture, we need to make that unacceptable. How? IDK.

lootboxes are fine, i just dont want to see them in the main game have a seperate game selection in the title to goto loot box purchase etc i just dont like it when its shoved in your face

Loot boxes should end because they're a bad practice that takes advantage of people, not because of some silly notion that it's gambling.

There's no legitimate secondary market for this digital product and no inherent additional value. There's no more gambling in a loot box than there is the loot drop in an RPG. It's RNG and a reward with a cost. You're "value" always exists as exactly what you've paid into it and as long as odds are established for your chance of receiving something in particular then there's no "gambling" as we know it. Gambling requires the potential loss of monetary value. That doesn't exist in loot boxes.

So disappointing. I used to love this game but Ea has completely ruined it now. It’s pay to win where you end facing teams with the best players because they payed money and every time I open a pack with in game currency it’s complete crap. Not to mention the gameplay has taken a real nosedive. Seriously considering PES for the first time for next year.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.

Is this like the 10th quarter in a row they're down 33% on hardware how is that even mathematically possible. You would think their mediocrity would Plateau
