As an Xbox fan I have no faith MS will deliver anything worthwhile aside from the games from the Holy Trinity

To be honest Microsoft and Xbox haven't earned this kinda trust. Most of their 1st part studios have been slowly falling apart losing staff after years of producing the same content. All they seem to be able to do is buy content for a set amount of time. Sony is doing the same but at least that have a massive portfolio of 1st party games

Because that's where they'll announce a good portion of the multiplats we can enjoy on our PS4s? That's probably the main reason why I follow their E3 announcements. I don't generally tune into their conference though.

if you like more online focused GAAS type console than its xbox one but if you like more story driven/RPG/open world type games than ps4 or switch. This is coming from someone who bought a xbox over ps2 and we are talking about a time MS actually wanted to establish itself and compete. On average original xbox had over 10 exclusives per year. It had the western games but it had Japanese RPG's like bluedragon. My comment isn't to hate on xbox brand, i want the old xbox brand to be brought back which knew games matter and were more than willing to take risks. It's coming to an point where switch will pass xbox one in sales

invest in smaller studios around the world and provide them with freedom

these things won't benefit xbox one but by the time next xbox is gonna be release ms will have countless games ready to launch and others which will be launching within first 18-24 months of new console

I go into e3 with expectations set to low.

I expect nothing, unlike the 360, the Xone has had very little to excite me, although they have hired alot of floor space this year. So maybe it'll be different for once.

Wish they'd announce a Xbox One X price cut. 500 bucks is expensive and is one of the reasons I went with a PS4 Pro over the One X.

It's going to be HUGE this year.

I am not excited for more sequels, I would hate to see another gears of war or a halo or forza for that matter, saying that it would be nice if they revealed a load of new games, whether that happens remains to be seen. They definately need to sort their shit out quickly because the memories of this generation will effect how people purchase next generation, so to future proof themselves they really do need to get that cheque book out and start buying up studios and pumping out games.

We're approaching year 5 for the xbox. Anything big they announce now won't be out for another 2 years. Sony's first party studios have revealed their last games for this generation. God of War, Last of Us 2, Ghost of Tsushima, and Horizon/Gran Turismo (last year). Those studios won't be making any more PS4 games. They'll be working on PS5 titles.

I'd have to imagine that Microsoft's studios are looking ahead too now after forfeiting this gen. It wouldn't make sense for MS to announce anything "big" for current gen that no one will buy. Generating goodwill? People have short memories. If MS makes the right moves next go-round, people will flock to it just like they did with the 360.

This E3 won't be big for MS. That said, it won't be big for Sony either. We know what's coming down the pipe. They don't have anything significant to announce either. Well, outside of showing off FFVII:Remake and Shenmue 3.

Tbh we all kinda know what Sony has planned for this year and parts of the next. While Xbox is in the unknown.

Microsoft has never been shy about shouting from every rooftop any time they have something to shout about. I remember how the company could not wait to let everyone know what was going on with the 360 last gen. I suspect there is no news because there is no news. They will cobble together an over-hyped presentation at E3 using none in-game scenes running on PC and maybe even show games that either never appear or will arrive 4 odd years after they are announced by which time we should be in the next gen so they will be probably cancelled by then. Can anyone name any new IP this gen or a new game from an existing IP from Microsoft that really wowed the majority of gamers and really pushed gaming forward? I don't think so.

Meh. I’ll watch the Xbox E3 to see what they got, but after their last few E3’s, I’m not holding my breath. With games like GT, God of War, SotC, and Detroit our in the wild by the time E3 happens, the ball will basically be in Sony’s court to announce some serious megatons. Honestly, just being able to see games like Ghost, TLoU2, and Death Stranding in action has already won me over. It’s gonna be good.

I’m much more excited for Xbox’s E3. We already know what’s going to be at Sony’s for the most part which is kinda boring.

Well E3 is like Wrestlemania of Gaming. I'm excited for this one and I beleive that Micorsoft will have a lot to show beside Gears Forza and halo. my bet is on Splintercell with exclusive content for Xbox, Perfect Dark, The new fable ,new Ip and VR for X1X probably support of oculus rift since they have deal with Microsoft while ago.

Bought a one X recently after years of PlayStation only gaming and wow. Other than a few PS exclusives the one x is never off.
Halo 6 and Forza H4/8 Will be enough for me.

We have been wanting this elusive "Xbox will own E3 this year" for years, it hasn't happened, if anything, they've looked less and less likely to achieve that.

Put it this way if Microsoft don't pull it out of the bag this year they may as well give up. The PS4 has had a hell of a year, even if some of the games shown have ended up being years away, they keep the hype train chugging along. In honesty my xbox gets more use due to the sky TV being routed through it so it's much easier to sneak a quick go in here and there and my friends notifications letting the missus know play time is imminent lol.

But this is all wasted if there is nothing to play! I want some first party multiplayer to look forward to. Having played hours of monster hunter I can probably understand the cancellation of certain games, but without titles to replace these it seems Microsoft are far to reliant in third party titles. I for one hope the recent quiet in the Microsoft camp is for good reason!
