We’re a couple of months away from E3 where a lot of the latest games are announced or new footage is shown for games that are already known about.

The charity event will be streamed live from Gamescom in August.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is getting cheaper but Call of Duty is leaving day-one access. Here’s what we think the price drop means for Xbox, PC Game Pass, and the future of the service.

Tech4Gamers writes: "A PlayStation Support assistant has confirmed that the 30-day timer implemented by the new DRM policy is part of an update and isn’t a bug. While responding to a fan’s query, PS support revealed that all games purchased digitally after March 2026 will be affected by this time limit.
If your PS4 or PS5 does not connect to the internet within 30 days, the game’s license will expire, and it won’t launch on the console unless the connection is restored. Hence, every digital game you purchase from now on will require an online check-in, or else you will lose ownership."
That is wild lol. Steam already does this for some games depending on the developer...but man...all digital games on ps5...
This has to be a mistake.
“Received word from an anonymous insider. The Sony DRM issue is unintentional. From what we gathered, Sony accidentally broke something while fixing an exploit. They've known about the confusing UI for a while, but didn't see it as urgent. Hoping for a clarifying statement now.”
The screenshot from the article is from an AI chat bot, there are plenty of screenshots floating around from actual human chat reps stating the opposite.
It this is real then I will never buy digital again and if the PS6 is digital only then it will be the first Playstation Console I wont buy
"Games will vanish" is click baity as hell...all you have to do is log in and the license is restored.
I think we will get a online focused shooter announced from Sony this year. Even Nintendo has one with Splatoon and that is all Microsoft has ever been with Halo and Gears. Sony has had many great shooters over the years (Mag, resistance, kill zone, warhawk, socom etc) but all are dead series at the moment and all would probably fail to work in that "esport" twitch stream focused world that shooters now relish in. So I think we will either see something that kinda falls into battle Royale, or the character based stuff like Overwatch.
In every other genre Sony is pretty much king (wish they'd do a new rpg like Dark Cloud again) but in the shooter category Sony has definite room to improve. I think that is going to be one of their few REVEALS this E3.
My expert opinion as an analyst for the firm Grope Them Sacks leads me to the guess that we will see 3 major 1st party reveals. 1 shooter, 1 remake of an old PS1-2 era game, and 1 smaller game in the vein of fat princess and flower. There will also be a strong presence focused on Dreams (launching in July or August) and a beta starting immediately after the show.
Halo 7
As long as we get TLOU: Part 2 gameplay I'll be happy.
Metroid Prime 4.
i've got fingers crossed for kotor 3 or kotor remake, not holding my breath though. pretty sure rare have been working on something else so would be nice to see a new conker or banjo game but also doubt that will happen as that's what the gamers want and microsoft don't seem to care what we think
