Remake it, add onto it like the RE Remake and fix DMC2 when they remake it...hell tell a new story if it makes a better overall story.

But we're talking about a different circumstance if he's remaking something he's making something with the concept of knowing that it is clearly going to be made to be like the original as opposed to Capcom telling him what he can or can't do with a sequel.

For all you know the agreement with Platinum Games to contract the next game might work better for them then if they were working directly under Capcom. You have to remember when they're making a remake their building on a concept that exist so they're clearly is going to be in agreement that it must actually be Devil May Cry we're not talking about Devil May Cry 5 where Capcom may have numerous disagreements on where to bring the series.

Well, he teased on Twitter he had a hand in the Switch port of Okami or at least invited to Capcom to play the Switch version as shown on his twitter. Business is business and if they want to hire PG to work on DMC I don't think PG would turn it down. Still pays the bills. and could lead to more collaborations.

Platinum doing DMC? Isn't that why the creator ran off? I mean to create real hack slash experience "Bayonetta". I loved DMC but the gameplay os so typical and there is no reason to not upgrade it to real next level as we see in the cutscenes.

He likely still likes DMC, simply not Capcom. Bayonetta is like Evil Within, yes, it is the creation of the original teams somewhere else, but I don't think it means if offered to do a remake of another series they worked on is off the table 100%. The fact that he is even hinting at it very much shows they still like the IP, simply not the issues with the publisher.

PG was created because they were fired by Capcom after Capcom closed down Clover. PG's original name was Seeds.

I don't think they'd be against working on DMC, their issue with Capcom was never about hating DMC or anything as much as it was just business.

DMC 3/4 are still much better hack n slash games than Bayonetta 1/2. They're all great, but Itsuno really outdid Kamiya on his own series.

Yeah Onimusha would be a fresher idea considering its been dormant for so long. We've been getting more than enough DMC and DmC and remastered remasters and repackaged regurgitation that I'm all little worn out.

Too bad that they already put out DMC HD bundle. They should've remade DMC for the new generation rather than just porting it for the bundle.

I absolutely love DMC and it is worthy of a remake. But, I cannot stand the way Capcom is screwing gamers with lame ports from the previous generations. They have lost my respect and need to earn it back.

How do you know its an either or?

FFVII got a HD port on PS4, ON TOP of full on remake. For all we know, DMC is legit being competely remade and they just want to make more money from it. A remaster happening doesn't mean a remake will never happen.

To me Square is just as bad as Capcom at scamming gamers just for money. I have no problem if a company wants to release a port, remaster, and/or remake but tell consumers everything you are doing so that they can make choices that are informed.

I can't believe a gamer would justify a company's behaviour of "they just want to make money". Justifying the behaviour encourages the behavior to continue,

Microsoft went and announced the Xbox One S and Project Scorpio together. To me that was one of the best customer decisions they could've made at the time. Essentially saying to customers buy the slim, wait for project scorpio or buy the slim and scorpio if you want. In doing so they made clear choices for their fans. Same with BC titles where publishers have announced remasters and BC support together. It gives the consumer choices and doesn't try to fake them into spending money when they don't have to. By Selling DMC HD without saying a remake is on the way, Capcom is intentionally deceiving its fanbase.

Ever since this generation started Capcom has been intentionally milking its franchises through low cost ports of DMC, RE, Dark arisen, and Deadrising ports. Then they release the odd new game for franchises and gamers have been buying them blindly. Gamers need to stop supporting this behavior just like gamers gave EA a clear message that Battlefront II microtransactions were ridiculous.

We literally just got the trilogy in HD for this gen, that would be a bit of a slap in the face to them. They should have just done a remake of all three instead and waited.

With studios like bluepoint games doing near magic with the Shadow of Colossus remake, I have hope to see some truly amazing remakes and remasters. Pubs need to realize when dealing with these classic games/franchises, that they'll sell and also be critical successes if they give us a quality product.

Still remember the day I went to Gamestop and bought both GTA 3 and DMC 1, two polar opposites, both were/are amazing, particularly for the time they released, see, back then (for me at least) there had never been anything quite like GTA III or DMC before. I for one, look forward to a proper DMC remake, and the original is still good and holds up surprisingly well.
I should make it known, I'm not for just any game being remastered, more importantly, I'm not a fan of every single game getting remasters/remakes, especially in situations where the game is only a few years old. If it makes sense, sure.

While a different beast all together, I'd like to shout out Nixxes, they're one of the better companies that do PC ports. For those who play on PC exclusively or those who enjoy both console & PC, you know how important a good port to PC is. Unfortunately many ports nowadays are mediocre at best, lacking some of the most basic functionality you come to expect.

Maybe one day we can have the remakes together with the real game at release date. And then every 6 Months they could re-release this. Or they could do a remake of something that hasn't been released yet. This reheat-fest of this gen is really a shame. And it's a clear indicator that the gaming industry is pretty much floating dead in the water.
