Xbox One is just a better console to design for now. This is why most PC games are now coming to Xbox like Deep Rock Galactic, The Last Night, PUBG, Grim Dawn, The Darwin Project and Path Of Exile.

Based on the dev response, he chalks it up to the fact their engine does not currently support OpenGL. So your comment on Xbox being a better console to design for is just a fanboy comment. DirectX is a MS proprietary library whereas OpenGL as a standard is not specific to one company.

Why PUBG came to Xbox and not PS4.

They're invaluable partners when it comes to, you know, especially with the Xbox optimisation as well, because we use Unreal which can be carried across to PC version and anything we find on PC can carry over to the Xbox version as well because we're using similar systems. This is one of the joys of working with Microsoft is that they can help us, you know, optimise both platforms and get it to the best Battle Royale we can.

Short-sited developers, like narrow-minded fanboys, are the cause of this. It may be easier to code if they're already developing for PC, but the ones who aren't lazy make great games for all systems.

Can you find me a console game that looks better than Horizon Zero Down, Lost legacy or Shadows of the Colossus?
Can you name any successful XBOX game that sold more than any exclusive title on the PS4?
If the xbox is the better console to design now then why the console has less exclusive games than the PS4?
