this game doesn't look that hawt Sorry. This game's art direction reminds me of Infinite Undiscovery, which is mediocre at best though I did buy it, since I play 60% JPRGs.

Graphics is not gonna keep me away from JRPGs. I wanna know about the Story/Music/Battle mechanics. Where is the battle Vids? I could care less about all the technical feats.

the game is suppose to support up to full 1080p resolution. And most of those screen shots are the MP part.

Just like I said before, The NOT is game SCENES looks Amazing,BUT if you look at the actual game is equal to Fable2.

WKC is the only RPG i have been interested for a long time. After checking out all the TGS videos, I'm now so hyped for this game...looks breathtaking with the art direction, the character, world designs and the battle system looks so pimp. Check out the animations for the combat system.. looks so fluid and natural.. sword fights look like your really there.

Those pics look better than any 3FIXME JRPG/RPG games.

if story = gameplay, then MGS4 would have been most game ever.

this game is going to over take any FF game, ha. This game doesn't look bad, but by no means great. I would of always thought that my PS3 BR disc would shine in RPG's because of the space available, but they haven't even come close yet.

dunno why some of you guys above dont like the art direction.. it looks fantastic.. and just comparing it to FABLE 2 lol. Western companies can only dream of matching 5% of Japanese art design. Not just fable2 another example is oblivion. In that game just look at character faces and models. Also, The first fable art was butt ugly and I'm sure it will be again. So yeah JRPG>WRPG.

Too be honest I love RPGS, something you can get proper stuck into. I get lost in these games its amazing. So to me awesome, jaw dropping graphics aren't the be all and end all as long as the fighting system is excellent and theres an in depth story to keep you interested. I mean everyone likes to see good graphics but as long as the HD and there polished then thats enough for an RPG.

Why oh fu%$ing why does everyone have to be so childish and bang on about what RPG has the best graphics on what platform. It means nothing except a waste of energy typing this fanboy ball bags.

Just because FF has been around 20 years doesnt mean WNC couldnt dethrone it. It could be rubbish, problem is peeps buy games like FF because its FF. I loved FF 7 amazing game, killed all the weapons, brilliant. But every sequel after has got slighty erm shi%&er. Square have or are starting to loose there grip.

I'm not hating on Fable2 or WRPG in general as most think I am. Just saying their art direction leaves more to be desired. I know it doesnt have to be "anigay" as zerodin put it, I've seen great western art too but sadly, most the hyped games I've seen from oblivion to NWN1/2 have been disapointing for me and never use good artists. It helps if the characters your trying to be immersed with dont look like you ugly next door neighbour...

I think this will be a really fun game because the Coo-op mode but graphicaly it disappointed me. Oblivion seems cooler but offcourse it is not 1080p resolution.

WKC seems to have the same scenarios of FF12 but looking a bit better and high reso.
Goodto very good game it can be but in terms of graphics no way it shows the power of the PS3.

Hmm never met anyone who like oblivion graphics, I'm kinda shocked. Anyways I guess whatever swings your boat really. I know I may have come of abit harsh before with my initial posts.. but I guess I'm a little jaded, not always seeing what I pictured in my mind of my fav franchises to be translated well into games, so I apologize.. its just my opinion. Guess graphics arent really important to some but sometimes I'm picky and just want both for once, especially in RPGs. I cant dream can I? :P

As for FF13, i think no one knows how that will turn out.. all we seen is CG vids and its still an unknown. It could play like FFX-2 but I dont think we wanna go there...

WKS does look amazing and is the best looking rpg to date. IU looks tons worse than that. SO4 has great character models only cause of the textured armor. And we knw that the Unreal engine makes metal look nice. People who played SO4 said that the environments are not so good. THere are only 4 characters in the game for your party and the environemts still suck. WKS has too many feature. All the armor changes so they can't make the graphics look too good due to lag. Oblivio had great grpahics, but the game pretty much had the worst animation to date, and had no cutscenes..so space was saved. mass Effect had ok graphics...pretty standard. and the game was only 15 hours long. Fable 2has coop, but it looks weird. Fable 2's environments are pretty cramped and can't hold huge beasts like WKS.

This games is the kind that you don't(at least i don't)care about the graphic just the story.

I'm not saying this game look's bad is the opposite.

Fable look's good also but i'm more excided about this game,feels like fable 2 is another mmo but with unknown story who no one really cares about,atleast it was like that in the 1st one,well we'll see.

I think Oblivion has a lot going for it. But graphics are one-tree-forest etc. This has more varied terrain and Blu-Ray MOAHAHAHA!

You did not even see WKS live...Everyone that played WKS said it is a beautiful game.... Tell me how they complained about SO4's graphics but not WKS? It's quite obvious. WKS can't even fit on the 360 due to the limitations on that console. Why do you think most rpgs on this gen lacked game length and had multiple discs? Blue dragon is the longest game so far and tat game has horrible graphics and is crappy. Lost Oddysey suffers from the same case. It has 4 discs yet look at the game.....not so good and is very basic. WKS has enormous scale and has 100 hours of gameplay and still looks great.. and it uses the blueray space to fit another game inside. Stop bringing up SO4 so much whe ya hardly seen much of the game. Look at the trailer and look at the floor in the environments in the vid. you will notice disgusting smeared up textured floors that resembles Grandia 2.. Not an exaggeration...

It seems like two characters in SO4 have nice graphics for soem reason
look at the 2nd and 3rd pic. Characters look like SO3..now look at the pic after that. It looks tons better. the characters have shine in there hair.

This gen hasn't been the best for games, last gen consoles are still out there and now there's been talk of the PS6 and Xbox Two for a year or so. Many games this gen will be ported to next gen and the cycle will continue. The re-release of the Neo Geo AES+, games on cartridge for £70 ($95), gaming is going back in time. Gaming has gone pricing mad with the high cost of games, consoles and controllers. The men and women at the top are clueless.

It’s always interesting to hear behind-the-scenes stories like this, especially involving veterans like Shuhei Yoshida and leadership figures like Jim Ryan. That said, there are usually multiple sides to decisions at that level. It could be less about not “listening” and more about differences in long-term vision for PlayStation. Yoshida played a huge role in shaping the brand, so whatever the reason, his impact is undeniable.

If true, and I'm inclined to believe it is, it goes to show that Sony lost their way when they became more western/didn't respect the PlayStation origin story. Andrew House and Jack Tretton did great work, but they also didn't try to fundamentally change the PlayStation DNA. Ryan oversaw the death of Japan Studio and a live service direction.

I miss the first three generations of PlayStation. The way they turned PS3 around, we knew they meant business. We were all worried for a bit there around launch. Eventually from 2008 they started shifting slowly. But since Yoshida was fired, it's never been the same. Still enjoy my PS5 daily. I got a backlog dating back to PS2 lol So I'm fine but new games aren't as appealing anymore.

It seems like we were thrown on to the worst timeline possible where everything is too expensive and the wrong people were put in positions that makes the world a shitty place. We could have had Shu as the head of PS but we got the shitty alternative. Same goes for everyone in power around the world. Doesn’t matter the company or country the majority of us got the shitty picks and the world is declining like never before. I do think PS can come out of this because of their studios, talent and IP but they need someone more in touch with gamers leading things like Shu was. They’re still the best place for console gaming imo but it could be much better than it is especially without the massive live service failures. The rest of the world I have a lot less hope for right now. Hopefully the pendulum swings back towards the good ole days but I’m preparing for the worst.

There's another guy who recently "retired" as CEO of another large gaming company, after doing a dismantling job as lead for well over a decade.

seems legit, the business man, fires the one who has ideas to move the business forward.

Jim Ryan is the reason why we are entering year 6 since the PS5 launch and many of us don't feel like the PS5 has gotten started as yet.

I hope going forward, we will see a return to form.
