It's been a long time since I played Metroid

Maybe, just maybe this isn't a sequel to MP3. Maybe the number 4 is just a placeholder and it will actually have nothing to do with MP, but be a 3D Metroid sequel that everyone wants.

Metroid Prime 4, if done right, could be the title that finally make me buy a Switch.

This is undoubtedly MY most highly anticipated ninswitch game! I mean, look at my user name decal on n4g for crying out loud 😊. I hope mp4 takes the botw appoach and improves on everything that made the prior games amazing and not just more of the same. Heres my list of things id like to see mp4 achieve.

1. More open fleshed out world
2. Specific upgrades for weapons and armor
3. Ability to travel to different planets
4. Ability to fly the ship
5. Mode of travel on ground like epona but metroid style like a hover craft (with action buttons).
6. More varried weapons and armor
7. Rpg elements like Crafting
8. possibly a couch co op or single player mp like dark souls where 2 or 3 people can pair up (with increased dif of course)
9. Id love if you had a in game 2nd player like in resident evil 4. Where you can give the other player commands. But do it in a way where its not annoying... It doesnt have to be human. Could be an animal like a dog or a robot.
10. Return of wall jumping
11. Ability to switch between first person and third person/ability to switch if your action is left faced or right faced.
12. Cover mechanic
13. A super bullet (geow2)/parry/ or super meter.
14. Super metroid meter 😊. Have like specials that have their own badass cut scene moves (that are also upgradeable). Maybe 1 of them calls in your ship to devastate enemies!
15. More fleshed out in game cut scenes and a story thats much more in depth. Doesnt have to be metal gear solid 4 or 5 length but if it took a dark souls way of emersion that would be great. The first 3 prime games left much to be desired story wise.

So, here is my top 15 things i think could make for a better game. Some of these might be too much of a departure from the trilogy... but, (holy shit i didnt realize its been more than 10 years since mp3 aug 2007) 😭 gaming mechanics have changed so much since then and Id LOVE for this game to have as much appeal as possible to reach a wider variety of gamers and intrests. Soo let me know what you guys think??!! A true 9th gen Metroid game 😎... Make it happen nintender!!

And this is a huuuge but, so we know the publisher for mp4 is namco bandai singapore, and sources have said nbs is developing the game but no confirmation from nintendo... Yet, we do know trilogy producer Kensuke Tanabe is leading the project, so at least its in good hands.

I didn’t demand it. I demanded a Metroid game worthy enough to sit proudly next to Super and the first Prime. The other two Prime’s were good, but the 1st is damn near perfect. Samus deserves a great game. Every time. Nintendo created the 1st ever, female video game heroine. They need to act like it.

Am I the only soul who wishes for a real 3rd person Metroid?
I mean Prime is great, but the OG format is 3rd person.

They should do a Metroid Prime trilogy HD collection.
