Is Star Fox worth saving anymore? Does the franchise have any weight for Nintendo? How can Nintendo fix Star Fox? It has been far too long since Star Fox was good and it is high time this changed.

Takaya Imamura, famed ex-Nintendo developer known for his work on the F-Zero and Star Fox franchises, has taken to social media to ponder the possibility of a Star Fox Zero release on Nintendo's upcoming 'Switch 2'.
It's a good ponder. Nintendo would be stupid to not do it. The more titles and first party line up released on the Switch 2 the more enticed the customer will be.

Has time been kind to Star Fox Zero? Does the game have any redeeming qualities that are worthy of revisiting? Should it be considered for a port to the Switch? Was it really that bad?
Haven't played it since it came out, but I really enjoyed it. Can't tell if that's just nostalgia-tinted glasses, or if I actually consider it a good game though lol.
It's a mediocre game that reuses ideas, scenarios, characters and moments from previous ones. Paired with one of the worst control methods that I had the displeasure of using.
controls made me stop playing also what good is a 65inch tv when you have to look at a tiny Wiiu tablet.. same with kirby & the rainbow curse..
No it was great, just the control scheme spoilt things really. The wii u screen was not needed for it really

But any potential design changes would be up to Nintendo if it happens.
I’d rather Star Fox Assault be brought to Switch with online multiplayer instead
Platinum Games wants to many things but sadly it does not show nothing new for years! They try to jump on all offers but end finishing none!
I rather have them show more of Bayonetta 3 first before they talking about any new project.
This reeks Inafune's funding for Red Ash and Mighty No.9 animated series, both never materialized.
it doesn't help that they don't release any Star Fox games. The Wii U game was the first game since the Gamecube version, which obviously wasn't a real Star Fox game. Star Fox 64 was awesome, and even got a 3D port on the 3DS. They just need to make an HD master of the first game to be honest. Good enough.
This franchise can’t move past Star Fox 64’s shadow
Starfox dead no way, starfox zero was a really great game let down by the controls. Starfox on snes, and N64 had amazing level design and gameplay. Nintendo need to go back to the roots of starfox and make something real special again, no gimmicky controls just great blasting action.
It is a very simple process to fix this franchise:
1. No more remakes !! Create a new story for these characters, and make them go to another galaxy and meet new characters.
2. Online multiplayer with voice chat. 4 vs 4 in a dogfight. Team Starfox vs Team Star Wolf, this is all fans need to constantly keep busy after the story mode is completed.
3. No mandatory motion controls or new gimmicks. Anything related to these, if they must be included, need to be OPTIONAL and not MANDATORY. Many fans don’t want to be forced into a certain play style.
4. That cartoon Nintendo produced for Star Fox Zero at release was amazing. Make an actual series to help promote the franchise, as well as introducing these characters to the younger generation.
5. Go hard on promotions at retail giants, online, magazines and TV commercials.
6. When Nintendo World opens at Universal Studios, have a whole area dedicated to Star Fox. Just like how Disney is doing with Star Wars. Force it to become more popular by making those unaware of its existence to have to experience it first hand.
All it takes is an actual effort to kickstart the franchise back into gear.
