lol, elder scrolls is buggier and uglier and they didn’t say shit. In fact they re released the same buggy shit multiple times, and no apologies.

At least a random indie developer is trying harder than Bethesda, and acknowledging problems.

thekhurg3010d ago

Bethesda is like Obama, or a Clinton. Beyond reproach and infallible to the media.

DaFeelz3010d ago

Ugh... no politics please. The political mindset, is a pathetic one. For some reason, it constantly needs to assert its relevance in subjects, where it’s irrelevant. It’s not healthy. Let it go.

UCForce3010d ago (Edited 3010d ago )

Please stop with that BS. And I do hope the developer will patch the game soon to make things stable. From what I hear, the game have been love by consumers and i’m glad to hear that.

Brave_Losers_Unite3010d ago

Obama was way better than Trump will ever be

SpringHeeledJack3010d ago

Looks like you've touched a nerve with facts. Trump already is a million a times better than Clintons and obama.

Nesflix3010d ago

Also,

I couldn't have said it better myself.

@SpringHeeledJack

He is? Or are you one of the many uneducated Trump supporters who never received any degrees in their life.

Its funny watching his ship sink and the supporters being oblivious to it

I haven't played much Skyrim since I personally hated it, but I've seen so much ridiculous level glitches on KC vs ESS where I've seen a few but they're understandable glitches. KC the glitches I see are completely unacceptable in most cases. Skyrim could be worse, but I haven't seen the same kinda glitches and I've never tried see KC glitches either lol

I'm making $86 an hour working from home. I was shocked when my neighbor told me she was averaging $95 but I see how it works now. I feel so much freedom now that I'm my own boss. This is what I do>> http://www.fl-y.com/3qx0

bolimekurac3010d ago (Edited 3010d ago )

but then why release it. imagine if games where released back in the day in the arcade and where buggy and a mess . so why do all devs release game after game with nothing but issues and then somehow are surprised at any backlash

Perjoss3010d ago

Games were also way less complicated to develop back then. Personally I prefer they keep pushing things forward and have games be a bit buggy on release rather than have developers be too scared to try new and more complicated things in case it might be buggy.

Not all studios can afford to test the final game for a year before releasing it in a near perfect state.

Eldyraen3010d ago

KCD is an independent developer, the publisher only really did the distribution bits.

So they probably just ran out of money as it was partially developed through kickstarter and it’s a very ambitious first game. That’s how I see it anyways as it’s budget was still in millions but not on par with similar games (only number I’ve seen is about 7.5M but not really sure how true—but I’d expect a game like this to cost a lot more).

Link2DaFutcha3010d ago

I'm about 15 hours in and haven't come across any game breaking bugs, a couple of funny aesthetic glitches, but it's definitely as polished, if not more, than skyrim or fallout 4. Game is super fun, story and voice acting are excellent, and the quests are definitely engaging, Dialogue is funny and there are tons of little surprises, combat is really fun once you get a hang of it. Excited for acts 2 and 3!

Eldyraen3010d ago

In about 38h my character has learned to walk on air twice (solved by walking onto higher plane of the ground) and one of the early side quests bugged, which is one of the most commonly bugged quests apparently but not a sure thing—Bird Quest btw.

Other than that it’s mostly been minor graphical hiccups and popin issues. Nothing worse than what you can see in any game though (flying is a bit rare than most bugs though).

Great game with some hinderances. The save system never bothered me but trying to pick locks with a controller is pretty annoying so glad they’ve admitted that’s being worked on.

Link2DaFutcha3010d ago

Haha, yeah I've been launched into the air a few times during a fight, but landed without any damage, so it was just kind of funny. Did the bird thing without any issues, other than just wandering around a lot.

Fishy Fingers3010d ago

I’m pretty sure with hand on heart most producers would admit to wanting more QA time. But considering the scope of the game and size of the team they’ve done rather well. Few game breaking occurrences but primary bugs that a few patches will squash.

opinionated3010d ago

I can’t hate on them.. they ran out of money, what can you do? It’s good that they had a successful launch to keep working on the issues.

UCForce3010d ago (Edited 3010d ago )

The game has been love by community and i’m glad to hear that. I do love medieval games. And i’m glad the developer aware the issues.

The 60 fps for me is the huge difference. The sharper visuals is nice but the smooth framerate is the big upgrade imo.

Yi-Long100d ago

Their trailer at the State of Play looked very underwhelming and did a very poor job conveying how big the difference was between the old version and the upgraded version. Only after watching some proper comparison videos was it made clear what a big difference it is.

Great to see a modern classic getting the love & respect iit deserves from the devs in the form of a free update. Major kudos.

I hope its a free upgrade. Bought the game in the last sale for 5 £ :)

Skate-AK116d ago

This would be awesome. I remember seeing it on a friend's computer and it looked so badass. I immediately went home and bought the PS4 version. Barely played the first 10 minutes of it because it looked like absolute shit. At least compared to what I just saw.

M_Prime115d ago

yeah it looked and ran rough but damn the story of KCD1 was good.

M_Prime115d ago

if it plays more like KCD2 i will totally replay this. Loved the story but even on my PS5 the PS4 version ran kinda like doo-doo. The loading times were so so so bad. KCD2 ran so nice, i'm sure Warhorse can get this game running well on the PS5
