might make sneaking harder the third person perspective lets you hide and see around corners

Oh you better hurry up !!

you're missing out this is one of my favorite games that released last year. They fixed basically everything from the previous game feels better plays better the system for crafting has been changed to work better etc

Neonridr3028d ago

I really enjoyed the first one, and now this gives this game more of an RE7 style to it. It's on my to-do list EDMIX... sadly that list keeps growing with each PS4 / Switch release.. lol

This game is great, I redboxed it, and loved it. I was 4 chapters in and returned it. I am going to have to buy this game. Its great. The new first person mode should make it more immersive like RE7. Now I have X1X and this games offers 4K and frame rate unlock, on the X. Worth a purchase for sure now.

jagermaster6193029d ago

So you get disagrees for saying you have a one x lol fanboys be hating.

Back on topic, it's an awesome game and I will definitely be trying it out in first person.

Neonridr3029d ago

such is the nature of the beast I guess.

Forn3029d ago

I think the point was that it didn't have any place being mentioned in his comment. It sounded like a mini advertisement or something, lol.

Goldby3029d ago

I think it may be that he said it runs at 4k when it's rendered at 1800p and upscaled.

It may be that the unlocked frame rates are performing better on the pro than the x, most likely die to the fact the game renders at 1080p on ps4 pro as digital foundry found during g their testing.

To be honest we don't really know why anyone is disagreeing they could simply disagree for whatever difference of opinion they might have.

That's ok.

If only they could make it as immersive as Silent Hill 2.

-Foxtrot3029d ago

Thank you for adding it as an update and not turning the game into something it’s not

This game deserves a lot more recognition

NapalmSanctuary3028d ago

Would be nice if it got a fixed camera update.

To all who works in Tango Gameworks, thank you for this update. Keep it up, guys! Although the "Classic" difficulty option was intense and crazy difficult.

The Evil Within Deserved More: A Great Horror Series Left Behind

The Outerhaven writes: While I hold Bethesda's The Evil Within series as some of the best Survival Horror games available, it's clear that Bethesda has no intention of revisiting the series. While Capcom is still working on its Resident Evil series, I look back at the now-dead survival horror series from Bethesda, wondering why the series was left wide open, and yet still not revisited.

An OK horror series left behind. It had some great ideas, but it never knew how to play to its strengths. Instead, it came out like just another RE4 clone.

I would love for a third entry to come out, but it needs to learn to lean in on the psychological aspect and move away from the generic "pew pew" ideology at the center of the gameplay loop. It doesn't need to abandon it; it just needs to put it into better context, is all.

Also, try a first-person perspective instead. Too many 3rd-person games with nothing to offer but an avatar taking precious screen space. At least make it an actual option and not that janky-ass mess the second game pretended to have.
