Over time if bungie truly cares.
Just like how the division improved two years later... so can destiny 2.
The core of the game is solid unlike the division, so it makes things easier... they just need to work on content and endgame activities. Tweaks and balances for pvp.
The division has to rebuild a lot of the game itself.

I just can't bring myself to play Destiny 2 anymore. I tried during Iron Banner last week and I just can't get into it. I have hit the cap on all my characters and I just can't find the motivation to keep playing the same content for cosmetics.

I haven't ventured to MHW yet. I went over to Warframe and got hooked. I removed Destiny 2 from my harddrive, it would take something big to be worth my time. I few weapon and gear reskins here and a few old PVP modes that should have been there from the start will not bring me back. They are making Destiny 2 into Destiny 1. Problem is Destiny 1 had random rolled loot, a character skill tree you could customize, better exotics, and better level design. Destiny 2 will never have those things even after their development roadmap, lol.

even if all this updates were all in one, it wouldnt do nothing. They are lost. Im going to Monster Hunter World.

Not even iron banner made me go back. I dont want skins on my armors. I want new armors with new rols. 3 weapons! How about 6 weapons, 9 weapons. Machine guns... flame throwers... new enemies, new strikes, new co-op misson., survival, horde mode,.... They are so stupid....

Need 25 wins to get the new skin on the chest armor! 25 games....lol.

Content wise is dead on the water.

The word "again" implies that it was worth playing in the first place. Destiny was a bold and cool idea that has been poorly fleshed out; combine that with a bottom-line focused approach, and what you get is a game that popped but could not last.

I mean if division pulled it off anyone can. That games a giant turd and yet people still find reason to go back to it. They may have lost a large fan base but I could care less. The game was pandering to the lowest common player. There’s a chance they can shape the game into something worth playing again because like I said, if division can do it, Destiny can too.

They thought that making the game more casual they could up the player count, sometimes I wish I was in the conference room when these devs do there pitch, here's the plan, take out all the good stuff about the last game that our current players love, yeah you know the ones who got us to where we are right now, so we can market this one to the casual crowd, they are called casual for a reason they wont put in hundreds of hours to get the God roll guns they want. Bungie and activison have a very ugly baby what should we call her, destiny 2. Uninstall, move on.

In May, can't wait for the next DLC.

Sony needs to get back to making great single player games!

I'm not too sure a lot of the people who visit N4G know what Sony have said recently. They "Sony" want an increase of monetization of their user base and deepen sales on other platforms. So to mitigate the rise in hardware components cost. More expensive services, games, micro transactions and lastly more live service stuff. Who would have thought 🤷‍♂️

Good for sure, but did TLOU Factions really need to die for this? It never needed to be live service, 39.99 and we'd play it forever as is.

I'll never understand why they bought Bungie in the first place (especially for that price), Sony got grifted hard.

Do single player campaign games including some games that have sp & multiplayer modes with co-op basically like the components in Halo & Destiny but try something new that's not a typical shooter. An action or action adventure game would be nice.

Bungie have problems internally for sure but Sony shouldn’t get a free pass here. Sony have bungled their management of them big time with their live service mandate. Did they forget Bungie’s pedigree in making single player games?

Bungie was such a bad investment for Sony, especially considering what they paid for it. MS pushed them to do that after getting Bethesda and Activision. One MS exec said they wanted to spend Sony out of business in 2019.

The less live services they do the better. Their single player games will ALWAYS be their bread and butter.

It was a very bad move. They way overpaid for something many of us don’t care about, live service mp. If they paid maybe 1/10th or so it wouldn’t be so bad but billions for a super risky studio. Their gunplay in games is great but that only lasts so long. They should have them make some single player games and maybe they can recoup some of that $$
