The graphics are nice on all version, the gameplay is where i have more doubts.

Nyxus3040d ago

It has been getting great reviews.

NewMonday3039d ago

the visual difference is minimal so might as well go for frame-rate

SuperSonic913039d ago

Really? Even on XBO X?
All previous MH games says hi to compare.

SuperSonic913039d ago (Edited 3039d ago )

This has more gameplay variation than any Zelda or Mario game its like playing a totally different game with every different weapon.
I have tried the betas and the tight controls finally makes me want to play it compared to old PSP games.
No more cramping "claw" configuration.

senorfartcushion3039d ago

You wouldn't have the Monster Hunter series without Zelda.

The Hud and the amount of stuff onscreen at once just makes me blink as I'm watching the screen.

SuperSonic913039d ago (Edited 3039d ago )

@Senor Fart

LoL!

To you Nintendo loyalists everything is invented by Nintendo. I get that.

Except there is this ole Sega hunting game called Phantasy Star Online which started the genre.
The main protagonists are called Hunter and Ranger.

Traingamez3039d ago

all looks about the same to me, pc version will be the only huge jump and that won't be until fall

kevnb3039d ago

You are watching a highly compressed YouTube video and probably on a 1080p or less screen.

ONESHOTV23039d ago

well i'm watching in 4k and it doesn't look that good i will wait for the PC version specs 1080ti

Sonic_Vs_Mario3039d ago

Really? I've been watching the uncompressed version downloaded from digital foundry's website. PlayStation 4 Pro version looks identical to PlayStation 4

kevnb3039d ago

@Sonic_Vs_Mario I remember when people used to say they could not see the difference between 720p and 1080p, or even sub 480p vs 720p.

ocelot073039d ago

Going to be sticking with performance 60FPS mode my self.

Mista20183039d ago

No 60fps for standard ps4? I didnt try beta so I don't know...

Vanfernal3039d ago

The og PS4 has a standard display mode which emphasizes performance over visuals. The framerate is unlocked but it mostly runs at around 30fps going up and down depending on the environment, characters on screen etc. The pro has 3 modes, one emphasizes resolution (for 4k displays), the other 2 are 1080p and emphasize performance (unlocked framerate which usually fluctuates at around 30-45 fps) and the other emphasises on graphics making the environments more detailed, bigger draw distance etc. All those numbers I gave you are based on Digital Foundry's analysis of the last beta so they might be a little different for the final release. =)

ONESHOTV23039d ago

I have the pro but I will wait for the definitive version in a few months

InKnight7s3039d ago

Then some other fanboys come and says tga pro can't do 4k for indie games :/

He's been in most, if not all the games and is iconic to the series. I guess he can be considered the unofficial mascot but every game has its own unique monster as the poster boy.

Because you had fun. I started Monster Hunter with my son on PSP 17 years ago. We put a ton of hours into the games since then. Never did I look back at any game I’ve sunk a lot of hours into and think, I might regret having all that fun.
