"Mega Man 9 is Mega Man's long awaited return to his true form. Inti Creates, the masterminds behind the underrated Mega Man Zero and Mega Man ZX series are the ones we should thank. (It possibly began at the inclusion of the 8-bit "Mega Man a" in ZX.) Except for the toggle-able sprite limit, the graphics, sound and gameplay are all restricted to how it was on the original NES hardware (ex: limited palette and sound channels). This is controversial, but I don't believe it's laziness. Inti Creates has plenty of excellent 2D graphics experience behind them, so they are at least capable."

Like any franchise, there are entries in the mainline Mega Man series have proved better than others, either because of how much they did (or didn't) alter the gameplay design philosophy that made it legendary in the industry. Today, we've got every mainline entry in the series ranked from worst to best.

Neil writes: "Let's be honest - the Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale last week was a bit rubbish. Yeah there were a few titles worth taking a punt on but the vast majority saw non-appealing discounts and the lack of super cheap pocket money games was noticeable.
We can forget about all that now though as the Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale for 3rd-9th July 2018 is now in place and it is bringing a whole new range of discounts to both Xbox One and Xbox 360 players. Want to check out the full list of games on sale?"
Several of these games have been on GWG, Slime Rancher and Super Mega Baseball 2. Others are on Gamepass. There is an Anime sale going on with up to 75% off. Fifa 18 at just 15quid, although I'll wait until it's in the EA Access Vault and get it for free.

Alex S. from Link-Cable writes: "The official end of the WiiWare service may not be until early 2019 but we wanted to give everybody as much of a chance as possible to remember all of the great games that Nintendo’s first every download service brought us. Last week we counted down the first 10 games in our look at the Top 20 WiiWare games ever made, and if you haven’t had the chance yet you can check out those picks right here but now we switch our focus over to the very best that WiiWare has to offer so if you still have a Wii (or a Wii U) kicking around make sure to download these games before they are lost forever."
