I just hope that they announce the discontinuation of the Windows store and release their games on steam right away.

Maybe I am being naive, but I’m going to give Spencer the benefit of the doubt. They have made changes to their organization and leadership that I hope brings a sharper focus on creating great first party games. But I am wary of all these promises. Time to deliver. We will see.

Probably come up with a new way to twist the term exclusive.

Xbox E3 2017 wasn’t bad but wasn’t good either, like all previous E3 from Microsoft since this gen has just been mediocre

I hope there is a positive change for the players. But now being 5 years in this gen, it's pretty late to try to turn the ship around. Should of been making changes along time ago.
We'll have to wait and see what they bring?

I hope they pull a really good show, showing that they understand where they have gone wrong. They really need;

-New first party devs
-Interesting new IP's
-Revive a few old IPs with a new fresh breath of air
-Get some first party studios set up in japan.

Had to hear about true 4K and big promises for a year plus, now here we go with E3.

I've owned the Xbox One since it launched and each year Microsoft is a let down with their presentations at e3 the last few years.

They say this same type of crap all the time because xbox fans just eat it up and don't even question it. I remember last year when Phil said there would be record numbers of games then it turned out to be a show filled with timed exclusive indies.

Another wait for it, this is their slogan this gen. The problem is that it started at 2013.

Hopefully that includes getting rid of the poorly scripted stage banter during their press event.

I find it hard to get excited over those statements, really hope he's trying to downplay it.

It's pretty much like EA. If you choose to trust them when all eyes are watching, you'll be fooled again. As soon as they have a decent foothold, and your backs are turned, the men in suits will interfere again, finding ways to gouge, steal and cut costs while delivering little.

MS always put a guy the think will soften the crowd out front, but backstage, there will always be non-gamers in suits rubbing their hands when they see the fish are hooked.

Well, maybe this year they really do something. I've heard that story the past years too, but... once again it becomes "you'll see E3!" :P

Just call it PlayStation Online, pay your subscription and you get everything. All this gold, silver and bronze membership or whatever is nonsense. Same situation with Nintendo, pay your money and you get the lot. If Nintendo charged £19.99 or £24.99 for the lot, a lot more people would pay it. When you consider Nintendo tried Switch 2 games for £75 and failed, the cost of games these days, this online malarky should be free when PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X games are pushing £70+. You pay for the cost of running their online service is tosh.

They had probably wanted to do that all the way back to 2012 when they introduced the Sony Entertainment Network and the backlash forced them to keep the PSN name alive.
