Should I get this game? Not interested in buying all kinds of DLC and microtransactions....

NexusFX3044d ago

The core gameplay is fantastic, and there are no MTX atm nor is there any paid DLC. Though I would wait for a sale, I got my copy with my PS4 Pro Purchase and paid $20 to upgrade to the Digital Deluxe version which you will want if you want to compete when you jump in.

OB1Biker3044d ago

I agree except don't buy the Deluxe. Aren't you supposed to be matched with similar level in rank and inventory anyway? So you'd just pay to get stuff you don't necessarily need and matched with players who have more practice?
I find it much more interesting to unlock weapons on your own and not skip some you actually may like more.

NexusFX3044d ago

Suppose to be being the operative word, if you go with the base edition good luck, the deluxe edition includes what should be the starter weapons and without them you'll get caught in a vicious cycle of respwning

GMEN7183044d ago

You should! Got my copy on black Friday for 20 bucks. Awesome game all DLC is free.

Well you're supposed to be able to buy loot boxes, but they took that away. At some point they might bring it back, but at this point if you bought it at launch you have pretty much everything you want anyways.

All DLC is free. Maps are free, whereas things like star cards, heroes (except for a few on each side to start off free), weapons, attachments are unlocked through play and/or resources you get from loot boxes and/or events.

Do not get the game. If you want to stop the culture of DLC and microtransactions then it would be best if you save your money.

Can’t tell a man what he should or shouldn’t do with his money, people who don’t buy lootboxes shouldn’t suffer because of others

paradigmfellow3043d ago

@Movefasta1993 It is called having restraint. People should be willing to sacrifice a little to have a better outcome in the future.

I've rented it a couple times at redbox, the loot boxes destroyed this game , they start off giving you tons of boxes and money in the beginning but once your maybe 5 hours in they slow down to a trickle. every game you play you get maybe 300-450 credits depending on how good you do. just to get one trooper crate it takes 4000 credits. so it takes about 8-10 games to open a crate. not only that but most of the cards you get all end up being duplicates. heroes take 10k or 15k to unlock. overall i do like the game but the crates mess everything up and turn the game progression system into a grind. I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone unless you find it for under 20$.

OB1Biker3044d ago (Edited 3044d ago )

Was doing the same mistake of getting trooper crate but it makes more sense to get hero crates for 2200. What's important is the craft parts. You get 35 to50 craft parts with hero crates. You can easily choose your three cards for a given classes and upgrade them all to rare very quickly. Its the upgrade to epic that takes time.
Crates are in the way of a progression but not game breaking for me. Also don't forget you get 1000 bonus with ranking up and a lot of bonus from challenges. You get 11k from playing the campaign and not all hero's are locked.

OB1Biker3043d ago

I may have got it wrong for the whole campaign. Could be more. You definitely get 9k for the main campaign and 2x500 for the first two chapters in resurrection but I honestly don't remember how much you get from the resurrection crate.

i just beat the campaign , got 5k

Star Wars Battlefront 2 1HP Hack on PC Is Making Lobbies Unplayable; EA Issues Response

The Star Wars Battlefront 2 1HP hack is currently causing problems on PC servers, and EA has since issued a response for players.

just_looken1601d ago

On the forums over 1100 post had to be made for this one response and its on console now as its a server side issue. I am with the tin foil hat people and believe there servers were breached like titanfall/apex.

People freaking suck on pc multiplayer games for cheating and doing things like this and today 2/3 of new games is some 4vs4 ass hammering contest with no story.
Where most of the game time comes from waiting on lobbies or loading screens.
