I know I'm not the greatest at fight games but this game is horribly unbalanced. Been in matches where less than four seconds after the announcer says "Fight" the opponent is moving impossibly fast and is using an ultimate attack. Even when I really get moving in a match, if I can even get that far, I never move as fast as they do and no matter how strong of an attack I can combo up does nothing to health on certain characters like Goku but will rip through others like Kid Buu...and Nappa, knocked out my team in 3 hits man lol. Probably going to play the story mode and maybe local MP with friends who are just as bad as me and avoid the online.

I'm not sure if unbalanced is the right word. I'm not the greatest at fighting games either and this was also my experience. Although in the last Beta there wasn't even a practice mode, so I didn't even get a chance to learn how to play. This time around there is, but my experience was the same. Got wrecked within 2 seconds of the match starting lol

I enjoyed the game enough to play story mode and local MP, but I'll most likely skip the online unless I really get into the game. Hoping for a Switch version though.

Getting worked online doesn't inspire you to get better?

xPhearR3dx3040d ago

In the full game, sure. In the beta, no. You can't even fight the CPU, just do a tutorial. I'm also not good at fighting games. So getting wrecked before even understanding how to play, isn't very fun. If I threw my friends into NG+10 in Dark Souls and said good luck, they're not going to have much fun either lol

I haven't been able to get into matches to really test myself against a human but from what I can tell, its a pretty simple fighting game. I can see how someone can get crushed super quick when playing against someone that knows how to play. the game feels like you can button mash and have moderate success but not really. I like the game. I'd like it a lot more if this matchmaking problem wasn't a thing 2 weeks before launch. More to your point, you get on any fighting game with a lack of experience and play someone that knows how to play, that match will be over pretty quickly.

Cyro3041d ago (Edited 3041d ago )

I can't play at all lol. I guess it was to be expected though.

PapaBop3041d ago (Edited 3041d ago )

At the end of the day, this is precisely what open betas are for, stress testing servers and ironing out any issues that arise before launch.

InKnight7s3041d ago

Well I tested ME server which is pretty empty, all the lobies are empty 0/64 and one lobby with 30-45/64 players and yet couldnt have single match. Beta should be playable at least.
Performance issues, tearings, lags, errors, bugs, popups, exiting from game realm, total crash are so accepted and expected for beta because nowadays even full released games have these issues. But how one coild rate and review this when it not even playable it just like these VR semi app experience, simply nothing.

Hence why its called a beta test.

I've played dozens of Dragon Ball games over the years. For me my favorites are as follows but not in any particular order.
1. Super Gokuden 1 & 2
2. Hyper Dimension
3. Budokai 3
4. Budokai Tenkaichi 3
5. Legacy of Goku 1 & 2
6. Infinite Worlds
7. Raging Blast 2
8. Attack of the Saiyans
9. Fusions
10. Xenoverse 2
11. Supersonic Warriors 2

Hyper Dimension was so good, also loved the Super Botouden games.

ZeekQuattro1033d ago

I forgot about those. Extreme Butoden was also good. It came with Super Butoden 2 now that I think about it. SB 2 was my favorite one as a kid as it featured Broly.

senorfartcushion1033d ago
