Tiny Metal Review (TSA)

TSA writes: "There’s a fine line between homage and becoming an out and out facsimile, and it’s a line that Area 35’s Tiny Metal comes incredibly close to crossing. One of Nintendo’s seemingly forgotten franchises, the Advance Wars series is Intelligent System’s army-based strategy sibling to Fire Emblem, but while Fire Emblem has gone from strength to strength in recent years, Advance Wars has shown no signs of making a return."

Ummm, does indie mean something different now? Cause if Sony owns them, than aren't they no longer an indie studio?

That is true.. Exclusive for Microsoft means something entirely different now.. So does 4k.

Maybe they mean it was an indie team before sony acquired them? I don't know but it is quite the oxymoron

Hello, Pink...

To answer your question; Indie refers to an independent studio regardless of the publisher. They're not owned by a publisher, even though they may be funded by one that also owns its own development studios.

From now on we can laugh together at those that don't understand this truth.

Note... If Sony owns a studio, I would not call them indie. Maybe previously indie, but once owned by Sony, it's a Sony studio.

Lmao all comments here are wrong, Unties is owned by Sony Music. Unties publishes games by indie studios not owned by Sony, which is why they are 'indie'. Because Unties is not owned by Sony Computer Entertainment, it therefore doesn't need to publish exclusive Playstation games.

In the latest update, the issue has now been resolved in mediation court in Japan. The former employee who made the accusations has now retracted the statement made about the Tiny Metal team using money from the Project Phoenix Kickstarter campaign to fund the game's development.
