Even a glance at Tiny Metal’s mechanics will likely bring to mind Nintendo’s Wars series, and with good reason. It’s the same format, same style and effectively the same concept but with a few notable tweaks to the formula.
Sony’s publishing label Unties and developer Area35 today announced that Tiny Metal has dispatched its competitive online multiplayer mode on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Steam via a free update.

Sony-owned Korea-based indie studio "Unties" has announced its PAX West game line-up along with some publishing deals.
Ummm, does indie mean something different now? Cause if Sony owns them, than aren't they no longer an indie studio?
Lmao all comments here are wrong, Unties is owned by Sony Music. Unties publishes games by indie studios not owned by Sony, which is why they are 'indie'. Because Unties is not owned by Sony Computer Entertainment, it therefore doesn't need to publish exclusive Playstation games.

Although Tiny Metal was released last December, along the way a former AREA 35 employee - who worked as a PR Manager on the game - issued a statement accusing the Yura of embezzling funds from Project Phoenix's crowdfunding to produce it.
In the latest update, the issue has now been resolved in mediation court in Japan. The former employee who made the accusations has now retracted the statement made about the Tiny Metal team using money from the Project Phoenix Kickstarter campaign to fund the game's development.
Fun game.
Don't agree with this review.
The game is super fun and has a lot of replayability. After u finish the game you get a harder mode and you still have alot of skirmish maps.
This isn't an exact copy of advance wars and the reviewer seems disappointed by that.
Tiny metal is a spiritual successor that is trying to do it's own thing while still giving fans of aw something to enjoy.
Tiny metal is one of my favorite games this year.
