Finally a way to play Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart 8 with good graphics!

zerogotit3063d ago

That's messed up man I just bought a switch

Prince_TFK3063d ago

The ONLY 2 Switch games you can emulate on PC, and its not even the Switch’s version.

UKRsoldja3063d ago (Edited 3063d ago )

Kun_ADR- The only thing that makes BOTW a "switch" version would be the slightly higher rez.. I guess you won't have battle mode in MK8, but you do get anti-aliasing at last..

PygmelionHunter3063d ago

You know it’s a sad day when people consider higher resolutions as “better graphics”.

Cyro3063d ago

These are the people who can't even run the emulator. Just trying to talk shit.

UKRsoldja3062d ago

Given that everything else stays the same, a higher resolution DOES count as better graphics..

kevnb3062d ago

It’s not the only part of what makes up graphics, but yes higher resolutions make better graphics.

PygmelionHunter3062d ago

You just proved my point point. Everything else (graphics) stay the same because you’re just increasing the size of the image you’re displaying (resolution).

A quick look through your comment history is enough to tell me your ignorance compliments your trolling skills pretty well, so I’ll drop any further arguments, since we’d probably get nowhere.

Princess_Pilfer3062d ago

Uh. Cemu increases the internal rendering resolution. It's not a 720p image being blown up to 1080p or 1440p or whatever, it's the game actually being rendered at higher resolution. Does that increase the texture quality and the like? No. Is it an improvement to the clairity and sharpness of the game? Yeah.

The difference between playing the Wii on a 4k screen and emulating a Wii at 1440p on a 4k screen is *massive,* even moreso if combined with texture mods.

Cobra9513063d ago

That's the best leap forward for that emulator yet. One video showed it getting up around 100 fps in Zelda BotW. To be clear, though, that game is designed for 30 fps, and running it that far off target will bring issues, like arrows in flight dropping way sooner than they should. It has many other bugs as well, and the multi-core options are currently labeled "unstable". This is also a WiiU emulator, not a Switch one. The best way to play the game in earnest is still the Switch, to be sure.

UKRsoldja3062d ago

What advantage would the switch version have over this??? None..

MrMagz3062d ago

The main advantage is being able to take Zelda with you on the go and/or play it anywhere. Such a big and kinda grindy game really benefits from being able to have it on long roadtrips or just playing it at night in bed before falling asleep. Also you get the motion control aiming on Switch, which is not for everyone but can be useful if mastered.
