Tried it on PS4 and was not impressed at all. Going to be interesting to try it on the Pro later today. No word if this is coming to PC?

Zero_Suit_Samus3116d ago

I played it on Pro and wasn’t impressed at all. Looks ok but far from great. Gameplay wasn’t anything to brag about either.

Maybe just not your type of game

_LarZen_3116d ago

Just tried it on the Pro with the resolution preset and in HDR. Much better then the old PS4. It’s time that model just goes into retirement..

But the gameplay. I hate it.

The demo does not give a great impression for first time players.
The fun in monster hunter is to get the movements of the monsters and get the timing right just for you to attack at the right moment. If you went in and buttonsmashed. you would definately have no fun. They should have just put you in with some small monsters and some quests that actually demand you to play intelligent.
As a MH Veteran this does not bother me in th slightest, but I understand it from a rookie perspective

@Greg2801

“Maybe just not your type of game”

Because every game much be good right? The visuals are mediocre and the gameplay feels pretty bland.

InMyOpinion3115d ago

Zero_Suit_Samus - The graphics are horrible. The skybox is the worst I've seen this gen. And the controls are clunky and unintuitive. Why didn't they just copy Dragon's Dogma more? It had much better controls.

everyone commenting the game wasn't much probably died on the bannana lizard.

Mh is amazing. this is amazing. l shoot the back legs off a lizard and it actually limps away trying to use it's destroyed legs to no avail. monsters react, flinch. change targets more fluidly. there's a lot of immersion now that world maps are unified. all in all, l'm gonna be clocking another 1k+ hours into another mh game when this comes out

Here's my first two hours of the game I livestreamed on the PS4. https://www.youtube.com/wat... Partying together after the match fails or succeed is completely broken. Choose 720p High for Broadcast.

He's been in most, if not all the games and is iconic to the series. I guess he can be considered the unofficial mascot but every game has its own unique monster as the poster boy.

Because you had fun. I started Monster Hunter with my son on PSP 17 years ago. We put a ton of hours into the games since then. Never did I look back at any game I’ve sunk a lot of hours into and think, I might regret having all that fun.

Because it's the best coop experience that you can have.
