Alex S. from Link-Cable writes: "Regular Link-Cable readers know exactly how I feel about the Xenoblade series. I’ve already why the original is the best RPG we’ve seen in the last 20 years and how the recently released Xenoblade Chronicles 2 could be the Switch’s best game of the year, so to say I love these games would be a pretty big understatement. That being said, the relatively young series already has a ‘black sheep’ among its midst with Xenoblade Chronicles X being a radical departure from the original and almost unrecognizable as a game in the same series when all three titles are compared side by side. Despite all of its differences though I really, really… really want to hop in a Skell and return to Mira one day, hopefully soon."
Xenoblade Chronicles X on Switch 2 adds 60fps gameplay and up to 4K resolution through a $4.99 upgrade pack now available digitally.
Playing it right now! It is awesome! Good thing I held myself back from buying this last year. Now I can't wait for XC2 and XC3 to have the same enhancements and upgrade.
Honestly, it’s kind of bizarre how rough native Switch players had it with this game for years. Aside from the original Wii U release, Xenoblade has pretty much been a series that felt better on emulators than on the actual hardware, mainly because of the blurry image quality and unstable frame rates.
It’s good to finally see an official version of the game that doesn’t look terrible and apparently is stable.
This is exactly why hardware matters to a decent extent.
It effectively took a 900p@30fps, maxed it to 1080p, then used DLSS to upscale it 4x in resolution to render at 4K, while also doubling frame rate.

Nintendo has put eight different Switch games on sale, including Super Mario RPG, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Zelda: Link's Awakening, and more.

A Xenoblade Chronicles PC port has been listed by Microsoft as an officially supported Microsoft Game Assist title.
Hmmm interesting. Hopefully true, liking the slowly but surely partnership between the big 3. Just imagine all the xenoblade games officially on pc. I think mcsft going 3rd party but still making consoles fits them.
I don't see this happening. Nintendo has said the "Only place to play a Nintendo game, will be on a Nintendo console!". Yes I know people are using emulators, but that isn't what Nintendo intended.
MAYBE, if Nintendo does decide to port X over, it's because it is an Xenoblade game that is stand alone.
X, is my favorite Xenoblade game in the Series, because of Skells" flying your Skell and battling with them feels great!
I really don’t want that as a title for a possible sequel
I want to know what happened to Lin (?) at the end..his eyes...
That game was so good. Even if they gave us extra story content in a Switch port I would be happy...
I would love to see X on the Switch! Would be awesome. I did not have enough time with it on the WiiU (which is now unhooked).
I like the atmosphere and battle system of that games better than the new one. New Xenoblade doesn't really appeal to me at all.
X was the superior game in all ways, it just sold poorly because it only existed on the wiiU.
when I rescued tatsu on my fist playthrough i was in shock to see my arm.. I was stunned, and had much the same expression as my character.
as my character explored and learned about Mira, so did I. the story was incredible, if you did the side quests and just exploration to reveal it.
aide from that, the combat was better, the voice acting was better (sorry I hated shulk and his whiny GF), weapon choice was better (monando was like getting the master sword in Zelda right off the bat and never being able to use another weapon).
mechs were awesome, and oh yeah, the world was more believable than living on friggen titans. i know it's SciFi, but suspension of disbelief has it's limits when YOU are the protagonist.
