ElementX2975d ago

I asked for evil within 2 for Christmas and hinted that it was on sale today on Amazon. I've been playing shadow of war, it's fun

Altovoltage2975d ago

Damn I’m still waiting on Gran Turismo Sport

pinkcrocodile752975d ago

It's very good. Buy it if you have a PS4, but if you have windows 10 or an xbox get Forza 7, it's awesome

ThatDudeMunkee2975d ago

Definitely grabbing Shadow of War. Already have most of the games on this list.

Well, I'm British / Welsh so obviously I hadn't heard about "Black Friday" and at first thought maybe Thanks Giving celebrated the genocide of the Native Americans and then they follow it with Black Friday celebrating slavery.

Turns out it's just a Marketing thing like Boxing Day sales (No we don't punch members of the family) here in the UK.

I just want the amazon and Game sites to go back to normal.

The Evil Within Deserved More: A Great Horror Series Left Behind

The Outerhaven writes: While I hold Bethesda's The Evil Within series as some of the best Survival Horror games available, it's clear that Bethesda has no intention of revisiting the series. While Capcom is still working on its Resident Evil series, I look back at the now-dead survival horror series from Bethesda, wondering why the series was left wide open, and yet still not revisited.

An OK horror series left behind. It had some great ideas, but it never knew how to play to its strengths. Instead, it came out like just another RE4 clone.

I would love for a third entry to come out, but it needs to learn to lean in on the psychological aspect and move away from the generic "pew pew" ideology at the center of the gameplay loop. It doesn't need to abandon it; it just needs to put it into better context, is all.

Also, try a first-person perspective instead. Too many 3rd-person games with nothing to offer but an avatar taking precious screen space. At least make it an actual option and not that janky-ass mess the second game pretended to have.

Love both games, hope that we will get third game

I've Been Replaying Assassin's Creed Origins, And It's Reminded Me What Shadows Is Sorely Lacking

It took going back to a much older game to realise just how empty Assassin's Creed Shadows feels.

"I've never thought feudal Japan would be a good Assassin's Creed setting. Give me 1960s southern England with mods and rockers."

Aaaaaaand that's where I stopped reading.

Terry_B235d ago

Never read anything on that website.

chicken_in_the_corn235d ago

I agree with the first part of their statement. Japan is so overused and it wasn't particularly interesting in Shadows. Now that it's been done, they can do something better.

isarai233d ago

Tf? Almost had an aneurysm at the thought of that concept, like what?

And shadows reminds me of something origins is lacking. Virtually every game is lacking something. It is because it is lacking, that it has what it isnt. Funny dichotomy that…

anast235d ago

Origins is a beautiful game made by talented people that got turned into a brutal level-gate fest by the CEOs.

PRIMORDUS234d ago

There are only a few Assassin's Creed games I played. Original, The Ezio Collection, and what I think is probably the best in the series Assassin's Creed Odyssey with the DLC. I'm done with the series, it's the same shit.

isarai233d ago (Edited 233d ago )

Same, enjoyed 1, looooved the ezio trilogy, and 4 was peak, everything after that just sucked. Unity was a great direction but the bugs and how long it took to fix killed it, best parkour system in the series tho

Harry potter could be a great game to use it. The students and the enemies could each have their own seperate tree.

Michiel1989297d ago

then kill em and they come back? seems fitting for the universe

mkis007297d ago

I mean you didn't actually kill the orcs that came back in shadow...orcs don't have that power in the LOTR universe. Meanwhile you do kill enemies (human and beast) in hogwarts legacy.

No, you would defeat them and they would come back.

jznrpg297d ago

It was a good idea but with of without it you need to make a good game first

RaidenBlack297d ago

Yep,
Instead of WW, WB could've assigned Monolith for a current gen FEAR game that could've used the Nemesis system as its base. But alas. The WB IP is what supposedly killed them.
Hope Rocksteady gets to use Nemesis in their next Batman 1P game.

Angyobangyo297d ago

Warner bros is so full of it. Usually corporations cry about piracy but this was simply due to the second hand market and they don’t t like that.

Chocoburger297d ago

It was a neat idea, but the game is packed with a lot of repetitive filler grindy stuff, clearly designed to make the game last longer. The sequel went overboard, with the filler as well, in order to nudge players towards micro-trash-actions, which were eventually dropped.

NoDamage297d ago

Thats why I couldn't get into the sequel even though I really liked the first one and so wanted to like the 2nd. Unfortunately twas not meant to be.
