I hated infinite warfare for this. I never got any epic cards in a rare crate. I never paid for one either. I got a ton of duplicates, meanwhile, within the first week it seemed like everyone else but me had an epic gun. It's pretty dumb actually and I wish we would could just unlock then by leveling up instead of doing heavy grinding. The ignorant ones will come out and say "git gud and it will be easier to get good guns. I think Activision is worse because you pay $60 for the game, $50 for maps and a lot more to gamble for chances. Ridiculous I say.

Because cod points are purely cosmetic you can't just pay a large sum of money to have equipment that will demolish everyone else

I think of Activision Blizzard as a snake, they're very sneaky, while EA has the balls to cross the line and fix their issues, Activision Blizzard perfected the fine balance between being scummy, and being greedy. The scummy part being having loot and making people watch others open them, and the greedy part is cod points, but as I said they're snakes, so they're so slick with it no one says anything.

Activision Blizzard is complete garbage, and no one really says much and fans tend to have short memories or see things with rose tinted glasses.I kinda think it may be the fact that they're merged with Blizzard, so while you hate Activision you love Overwatch or something Blizzard does.

BO3 had RNG weapons and so did COD4 yet the CoD subreddit didn't do anything near the likes of which was done for BF2 with its sub reddit. Everyone hates them but they weren't loud enough and it fizzled out

Why stop with COD? Uncharted 4 had MT in the multiplayer as well but nobody made a big deal about it. We can go on and on about this but what's the point? MT's are unfortunately here to stay and there will ALWAYS be gamers who don't care and will buy them.

its ok because you don't pay to win. the best gun in cod and the gun you start off with arent much different, and anything as far as competitive can be unlocked through progression. the lootboxes are pretty much for swag (cards , emblems, camo, etc. I'm having a blast with their lootboxes and theyre free (supply drops) I'm grinding away for a gold plated gun not some essential character in its universe

Just so you know. It's not okay with everyone. My stand is clear and resolute. No MT's in games, Period. Regardless of type or number. Zero in game items should be available for purchase with real world money, either directly or indirectly. That has always been my stance. Since I realised the nature of the industry changing for the worse, I have intentionly purchased NO games with MT or loot boxes, I say intentionly, because it has happened with games where it isn't obvious that 'incentives' are in the game! We need a sticker on boxes to tell everyone if they are present. I personally, don't like the term 'intense hatred' used by the article. Hate, is not a word to use casually.

It's a double standard, sure. But I view it more as those who have grown tired of Cod jumped off awhile ago, and those still supporting the game will probably grow to accept anything. (I personally stopped awhile back, I've played 1 cod in the past 5 years). So that's why there's little outcry, those who care - of course there's still those playing who care - moved on.

EA and Star Wars is a more recent/new overbearing attack on gamers enjoyment and wallets. The community viewed something pure be tainted with greed. That doesn't excuse the double standard, but I think it helps in explaining. All of a sudden they saw it clearly. And so the community said spoke up.

No instance of having to play a game for up to 40 hours to earn Darth Vader then another 40 for Yoda.

Because bandwagon that's why. All these idiots who had no intention of even getting starwars jump on the hate wagon without knowing the full facts.

There was hate for weapon drop boxes and COD WW2. It is just not as big as BF2. The one hundred thousand people who spoke out against BF2 don't play COD games, that is all it is.

No company gets more shit than EA. Even in 2008, when they were pumping out original, creative IPs like Mirror's Edge and Dead Space, people hated them. Voted Worst Company in America several times, which is not even remotely close to true. Poor EA. They deserve some of the complaints they get (like with Battlefront), but not all.

Too late for the hate the games in everyones bedroom again dat promise of dem boots on the grounds blinded the masses maybe next year, We can have an adult conversation about this.

Battlefront II at least will offer all major DLCs as free... CoD WWII, besides microtransactions, has a $50 Season Pass.

When you have the pay to win lootboxes, with a very limited number of maps at launch, and $50 season pass, It's disgusting. Activision Should be under the same amount of fire, if not more than EA, but instead it gets ignored and we get quotes like "It made more than Thor Ragnorak and Wonder Woman combined"

Call of Dookie WWII is a very abysmal, subpar game. Recycled elements from previous installments as usual and a social hub ripped straight from Destiny which serves practically no purpose.

They must think that they're hot shit if they think can get away with putting MT's in this very dull, mundane game. Of course, this gripe might inevitably get buried under the abhorrent fanboyism that engulfs Call of Dookie. These crusading fanboys will swear that there isn't a problem with MT's, mostly because the money that will be paying for it will be coming out of their parents' pockets.

I think it's because most of us that do the complaining don't really play CoD. It has it's dedicated fanbase that buy it every year, and the rest of us kind of ignore it I think. I'm not saying we shouldn't take them to task, I'm just speculating as to why no one has talked about it.

I think if you use a VPN, they will not be able to see your real IP address to take over your PC, it wouldn't stop hacking in the game but your real IP will not be shown.
