I sure didn't let it slide and voted with my wallet by NOT buying the game. I bought BF1 and it was a great game. Then they come out with BF2 with all this loot box nonsense. NOPE. Not this time EA. Fix the way you deliver content. Hopefully they learned their lesson. I'm sure the game is great but there are other games to play.

I'm glad people are so passionate about this, EA needs to realize that they need us way more than we need them.

Smaller comment section here. Want to make a difference head over to Reddit gaming. Where thousands upon thousands comment. It makes EA/devs and publishers notice. There are many examples that game devs hang out there.

No knock here. I like n4g. I like the news layout and have been here for years. Just not enough active users to comment and make a difference.

Pay to win needs to END period. I don't think we will ever see the end for DLC or Micro transactions unfortunately that ship has long since sailed. The issue here is that the core game design for SW BF 2 is to BUY progression through loot boxes. Purposefully making the slog to progress slow and cumbersome with randomized loot drops is just plain EVIL. This would be an issue even if the game was FREE...but it is not.

I hope this doesn't just fade away. I hope their feet are held to the fire and other big publishers, developers and companies see what can happen. Also this really is out in the real world because my step son came home from his dad's yesterday and he said at Wal-Mart two guys in the next isle were talking pretty loud about EA and Battlefront 2. He said "I couldn't believe that they were talking about what you've been telling me about it!"
