Ubisoft Assassin’s Creed Origins has prevailed in the battle with Super Mario Odyssey to claim No.1 in this week’s UK charts. Origins’ week one sales are about level with 2015’s AC Syndicate, although revenues are higher thanks to the addition of some higher-price SKUs.

I bought the switch 1 Mario odyssey bundle when it came out. Good thing Nintendo didn't charge for the switch 2 upgrade.

Donkey Kong is an average game. Mario Kart is now neutered and watered down. I'm hoping Metroid is at least above average.
Donkey Kong had so much more than they showed in the direct. Not to spoil anything but considering people were assuming there'd be like 4 or 5 "worlds" in total, many were shocked to find out just how far the game keeps going.
I'm having a blast with the game myself, but to each their own. MK is a solid entry in the series, is it the best? Debatable. But it's not like it's a bad game at all.
I feel your assessment. The destruction & playability in DK is phenomenal. MK has a ton to unluch and some dope tracks. It's something about both that didn't punch in areas where it needed the most.
i wouldnt compare these games at all.
but, having played both, Odyssey is the better game.

nice improvement to the clarity. Really makes everything look less blurry, especially in the distance.

First game I played on Switch 2. Much sharper and cleaner image compared to the original.
A lot of games that have no official Switch 2 update already run WAY better just from the hardware itself. It's fantastic getting to play all these games in a much better state. So glad I hardly played any of my Switch collection over the years, lol. This will make experiencing them for the first time so much better.
A nice resolution upgrade to one of my fav games but i’m still not buying the Switch “2”
This and Mario/Bowser are ones I will pop in later. I hope other devs offer some patches, like xenon racer on SW1 is 30fps and it really is better at 60.
Great it was 60 frames on switch 1 though. Definitely sacrificed resolution however.
I’ll never know why fans let Nintendo get away with not competing graphically and never putting their games on sale.
I’m a fan of their exclusives as well but if the hardware had the same capabilities as the x and ps5 and I could have all the third party stuff plus the Nintendo exclusives it would be my main console
@GhostScholar - if the Switch 2 had the same capabilities as the X and PS5 it would cost over $1000 and the battery would last for 5 minutes.
The 1 year break really paid off and the new AC looks like a great game. Good job ubi.

Stop trying to find excuses. There were other exclusives that got first place even with multiplatform games...
What is strange is Destiny 2 still selling so much!!!!! Who is buying this game? really? Dont they read nothing or go to youtube?
