Gamer4lifz

It’s your lack of comprehension.

TheKingKratos3001d ago

Curbstompin

No it's your lack of spelling

Godmars2903001d ago

You know little of the world.

bluefox7553001d ago (Edited 3001d ago )

@Gamer If you really don't know what he meant, and that it was obviously a typo, then it's you that looks dumb in this scenario.

@Gamer4lifz

This is not sounding good for bioware at all. It's the exact same scenario that was happening with Mass effect Andromeda. Major people leaving in the middle of development. I really hope they get their shit together or they will be closed as well.

The difference between Anthem and Andromeda is, Andromeda was developed by Bioware's B-team while Anthem is being done by their A-team. ya know, the team that made the original Mass Effect Trilogy.

Artemidorus3001d ago

The A team that now has members leaving already??

JackBNimble3001d ago

Well if one team is stacked with talent and the other is weak then it sounds like nothing more than mismanagement.
Could easily balance out two teams

notachance3001d ago

tbh I don't know how the process really is, but I always wondered why some studios separating the team like that?

I understand that the programmers have to be separated because of all the technical work, but why should the gameplay design, writers, music, etc, basically the concept division that has to finish their works first before the programming begins can't just be merged into one and move on to new projects while the current project's programming is under way? That way you can maintain at least the quality of gameplay and writing because basically the A-team of that division is handling all the projects no?

cleft53001d ago

Even worse then that, it was their C team. The B team was brainstorming and working on the next Dragon Age game.

Xenophon_York3000d ago

Considering Mac Walters was a director for Andromeda the issues can't be completely blamed on it being a b-team.

Lamboomington3000d ago

@Artemidorus

Dude, people leave all the time. It's already been several years they worked on Anthem.

There must be more to this than we know

bennissimo3000d ago

Wait, you mean an internet comments section ISN'T the place to go for truth?

I need to reevaluate my life.

:P

Seraphim3001d ago

it's the lead animator. Chances are all the animations are done as is his job. This wouldn't be the first time someone left the development of a game when their job was done. If anything this shows just how far along they are and that a 2018 isn't unreasonable.

Eonjay3000d ago

There is no reason to try to defend EA. In this case, they need to defend themselves with results.

TheHan3000d ago

I highly doubt that one person will make a difference. Look at Bungie with Destiny.

Ittoittosai3000d ago

Oh make no mistake if Anthem flops in EA's eyes Bioware will be axed.

Christopher3000d ago

Doesn't sound like anything to me. People leave their jobs for many reasons. Personal, financial, etc. Not everything is about someone thinking a game they are working on is bad nor is the success of a single AAA game based on a single lead animator. Andromeda could have been a great game regardless of the animation issues, but it was mediocre across the board.

bennissimo3000d ago

On N4G, it always means MS did something wrong, though.

He probably left because he was despondent that the X1X's launch lineup doesn't have enough exclusives. lol

DarkOcelet3000d ago

The thing is, he is not the first to leave in the middle of Anthem's development and yes, people leave all the time but its really worrying since developers have been doing the same in Andromeda. Its like they are jumping ship again before another disaster happens.

I wish i could optimistic about this but after Andromeda's being a clusterfluk, i just can't get excited and am worried that another great developer will be closed by EA.

Can't spell disEAse without EA, haha.

DonkeyWalrus3000d ago

There are many words in which EA can be found, disease as you said, and also weak, horreable, garbeage, eavil, pure shieat, sateanic, etc...

Could Anthem live on? Tech allowing local server hosting existed, former executive producer says

BioWare's multiplayer shooter Anthem was terminated this week because EA no longer wanted to maintain servers for people to play the game on, and without them, no one can play the game. But the former executive producer of Anthem has revealed that BioWare had technology working, close to the game's release, that would enable us to host our own servers to play the game on.

EA/Bioware should allow us to host our own servers to let this game live on.

I'd be fine just playing it as a localhost and dumb as rocks AI bots. Just give me the choice.
