Maybe they are talking about lenght? Because RE4 Remake is definitely larger than the first two modern remakes.

Understandable to me. RE4 is one of their most important title's compared to these. People like to complain about anything. Be happy RE4 turned out as good as it did…
Sorry but these titles walked so RE4 could run. Bottom line is they are longer games and capcom doesn't wanna set the expectations high. Which is disappointing.
Interesting. I would imagine it actually requires a lot more of work in terms of rewriting the story.
While I hated how they destroyed Nemesis in the RE3 remake, CV could really benefit from a major story overhaul. From the super corny opening action pumped sequence of Claire running from bullets to Jar Jar Binks level of writing of Steve character.
Steve is in dire need of remake redemption treatment. It worked for Carlos and Ashley, and made Luis better too.
It's either like RE2 remake or they are keeping the static camera and redoing it in RE engine.
I think it will be like RE 2 remake and the not ambitious part is not making big set pieces or making it open with side quests like RE4 and Village.
As an oft-overlooked game in the franchise canon, Resident Evil: Code Veronica deserves the remake treatment over Resident Evil 5
If I have to decide between Code Veronica and RE5, then I go with Code Veronica Remake.
RE5 and 6 were more action oriented than survival horror.
Resident Evil 5 was an amazing game and pretty similar to RE4 in terms of its horror/action formula. It just couldn't top RE4 which was a standout game. Regression to the mean, y'know.
I agree the less said about RE6 the better though.
I really don't think we will have to decide. It's clear these games are a huge success critically and commercially. They will remake CV, zero, 1, 5, and 6.
100% agreed, RE Code Veronica should be the next remake. I expect CAPCOM to bring out RE9 first though.
Great game. I remember after my section with claire I was"nice game", then the intro with chris redfield climbing the mountain started and realized there's gonna be a chris playthrough..hyped AF! Classic.

It still is the best RE game. I burned this up on the Dreamcast. Glad they ported X on PS4.
Amazing. I loved it and I thought Alexia was a great villain
However I don't see why they killed her off when they were planning to kill off Wesker down the road. They should have kept her alive so she could have taken over Wesker in the future.
I still think they should make the Resident Evil Remakes a new timeline, do RE2/3 together and then make Code Veronica a "Resident Evil 3" title, keep Alexia alive, then they can go anywhere they want after...no plagas crap.
