The QTE's look pretty lame, the AI is terrible, and the combat system looks very bad. Oh wait it's from the creators of Otogi and Armored Core. No wonder.

die_fiend6410d ago

The QTE's don't look lame...dunno how good they'd need 2 be 2 satisfy ur smug self. The AI doesn't look great but in Devil May Cry 4 it was hardly good but as a game it was still sweet. I think ur just a mugger probably...

MiloGarret6409d ago

I'm guessing the only cool QTE are in GOW, right? I'm guessing you think that what we've seen of KZ2 shows great AI, right? I'm guessing they would be awesome devs if this was a ps3 game, RIGHT?

QTE's aren't a problem if they are implemented correctly, like The Bourne Conspiracy or, apparently, this game. Where they aren't just "finish him" moves like in Force unleashed, but can pop up at any moment, keeping you on edge.
AI does look terrible, just like it does in all KZ2 videos, however, here, just like in KZ2, we're talking about an unfinished game being shown of to the press either on easy setting, or below, as devs always do... The same "oooh the AI looks so bad" comments can be read on most new-game videos, I've actually seen them on videos concerning Halo 3 AND F.E.A.R. nuff said!

Whatever, I'm only defending this game because its about a ninja, and ninja's are awesome. And the combat moves looked really awesome and powerful.
One critzism though, why is it so green?

It's a hit or miss with From Software's games. And we clearly see the miss right now.

God of War III- The real cinematic hack and slash.

not this generic carbon copy. Looks alright, though. Still a lot of development time left.

It looks like a game that isnt worth 60 bucks

Sekiro Is Not From Software’s Best Ninja Video Game

Ninja Blade is From Software’s best ninja game of all time, including Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. At least it’s the best version of a specific type of ninja game.

Well aren't you cool? Taking a game that was pretty much universally acclaimed and then saying that one that received mediocre to bad reviews across the board is better... There's always one "hipster" out there with a contrarian opinion.

I don’t remember much of it but wasn’t it a QTE heavy game like Asura’s Wrath and GOW3?

NecrumOddBoy2572d ago (Edited 2572d ago )

It was like the Xbox Ninja Gaiden with an insane amount of QTEs. Not bad but not innovative.

SamPao2572d ago

Asura's Wrath and GOW3s QTE usage are planets apart though :D

Youngindy212572d ago

Both of those games were good so....

5 Games You Didn't Know Were Made by the People Behind Dark Souls

FromSoftware is a game developer that has found popularity in the gaming industry thanks to their widely popular and best-selling series, Dark Souls. The Adventures of Cookie and Cream (Or Kuri Kuri Mix as is known in PAL territories) is actually a pretty good game, and gets damn hard in the latter stages.

I'd love to see FromSoft make King's Field 5, or maybe another Armoured Core. I love the Souls games, but I don't want to see it milked for all its worth.

Duke193664d ago

Didn't they also make the 3D Dot Game Heroes (or something like that).

I actually enjoyed that a lot on PS3

eyoung253664d ago

They actually only handled publishing in Japan. It was developed by Silicon Studio.

I wanted to keep the entries to their own respective genres. Chromehounds and Armored Core are both mecha. I almost included it though.

DarXyde3664d ago

I came here to learn something new and left disappointed.

DarXyde3664d ago

...I'm saying I knew FromSoft had a hand in all of these games. I would know, I own/ed most of them.

WhyWai883664d ago

Armored Core series producer left From Software.
My guess is the company shifted all focus to Souls series... :(
RIP Armored Core....

eyoung253663d ago

I would love to see them come out with a new IP in the mecha genre. Armored Core was cool, but I think they have expanded their skills to make a more unique game.
