"The thing Nintendo offered that they thought people might want was handheld gaming; a concept that hasn’t been popular outside of smartphones and tablets for years."

3DS sold over 67 million units over the past 6 years because it wasn't popular?

It's awesome, so sleek and an icon in the making. Switch, GameCube, NES and the OG Game Boy/Color are seriously fly and fresh designs. And I'm literally talking looks. I think those look good any year. Switch is easily the most versatile home console ever.

No, it's one of the worst.
The best design goes to the gamecube

People hated on the GameCube so much at the time for looking childish. Time and history have been very kind to that machine.

Nintendo definitely nailed the design both inside and out, in my opinion.

They built the entire system into a slightly chunky tablet body. I still find it amazing that the Switch is more powerful than the Wii U, yet smaller and sleeker than the Gamepad. Mobile technology has been advancing at a stellar rate and Nvidia was definitely an excellent choice to go with for the chipset. As the technology gets better, the hybrid design will only be improved.

Another factor that's been brought up repeatedly mostly by developers is how much simpler the Switch is to work with than past systems. Putting aside the power limitations compared to the PS4/XBO, Nintendo has finally crafted a system that developers don't have to pull their hair out to work with for the first time in two decades. Remember, the N64 used cartridges and the Gamecube used minidiscs. The Wii was a standard-definition system in an HD world and the Wii U had old architecture that was mostly incompatible with modern tech. Taking that into consideration, the Switch is a massive improvement over the last four generations of Nintendo home consoles.

Does it have flaws? Of course, but so does every other console.

Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.

They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

they should know that we are OG fans of VIII as it sold truckload as well. not as much as VII or X. I personally didn't like IX but X and VI are my personal fav.

Shadow Hearts 2 covenant is another game I love. I hope one day someone can make remake, I would be delighted
