I think its best thing from this new. Majestic is rather cool for the title.

raWfodog3005d ago (Edited 3005d ago )

I'll be picking the game up (eventually) for my PS4 but this XB1X footage does look beautiful. I wished the blood splatter on the ground would persist but I guess the devs are trying to free up as much assets as possible to keep the game running as smooth as possible.

BLKxSEPTEMBER3005d ago

I'm buying this day one but will not play it til I get my 1X

Genuine-User3005d ago

Why are you buying it on day one then?

Genuine-User3005d ago (Edited 3005d ago )

I know, you don't need to state the obvious.

He might get a better deal if he picks it up with the One X.

Xerneas3005d ago

He might, but maybe he doesn't care.

jagermaster6193005d ago

I'm buying it on day one and not playing it till I get my x on the 7th. The reason for getting it on day one is because if I pre-order it from Amazon prime and I save almost $15.

Genuine-User3005d ago

@Xerneas

Okay

@jagermaster619

Now that's a good reason to get on day one even if you don't plan to play it immediately.

IllI'll be buying this game when it hits $10.

PFFT3005d ago

I couldnt wait for my X so i reserved it for the PS4. F that noise im not waiting! The game looks to good to wait.

chrisoadamson3005d ago

Lol what a load of bullshit

PFFT3004d ago

How much are you willing to bet???? I am currently playing Shadow of War and The Evil Within 2 on my Pro.

AbhishekGIS3005d ago

AC is back with a bang
they nailed the ancient Egypt
just waiting for the reviews
probably it will have 85 -88 metacritic

meka26113005d ago

Still looks like more of the same to me.

bluefox7553005d ago

Agreed. They changed the setting, but the formula is still the same. Same boring combat. Same boring open world errands to run. The games have always looked pretty, that was never the issue, the issue is the formula has become stale IMO.

3005d ago
Zeref3005d ago

same combat? lol this is completely different.

meka26113005d ago

Actually the combat is different but looks worse to me. I love dark souls but always hated when games make the triggers the attack button, and that's what this did, what's wrong with face buttons for use? Combat looks more clunky to me, like dark souls. Not knocking anyone that wants to play it, just stating it looks like more of the same for me and worse combat now.

Count_Bakula3005d ago (Edited 3005d ago )

Actually them changing the combat to a lame hack-and-slash with health bars is exactly why I'm not moving forward with AC. Chaining combat was one of the best parts of the series.

phoenixwing3005d ago

All the ppl suddenly like the old combat when it was one of the most glaring problems. I for one found it ridiculously easy. I cant help but be happy with the changes to combat.

3-4-53005d ago

Exactly.

Do A, then B, then C....rinse repeat.

Setting looks fresh, graphics look good, but it's the same thing.

Same type of missions, in the same type of way...

I'm out still.

mark_parch3004d ago

the combat couldn't be more different have you even played previous games. this looks way better less hand holding and more tactical thinking and movement like dark souls

timotim3005d ago

That's texture work is crazy! This might be my first AC ever buying.

Zeref3005d ago

this is on xbox one x though. Won't look like that on other consoles

timotim3005d ago

True...not too impressed with the animations and movement though

I've Been Replaying Assassin's Creed Origins, And It's Reminded Me What Shadows Is Sorely Lacking

It took going back to a much older game to realise just how empty Assassin's Creed Shadows feels.

"I've never thought feudal Japan would be a good Assassin's Creed setting. Give me 1960s southern England with mods and rockers."

Aaaaaaand that's where I stopped reading.

Terry_B235d ago

Never read anything on that website.

chicken_in_the_corn235d ago

I agree with the first part of their statement. Japan is so overused and it wasn't particularly interesting in Shadows. Now that it's been done, they can do something better.

isarai233d ago

Tf? Almost had an aneurysm at the thought of that concept, like what?

And shadows reminds me of something origins is lacking. Virtually every game is lacking something. It is because it is lacking, that it has what it isnt. Funny dichotomy that…

anast235d ago

Origins is a beautiful game made by talented people that got turned into a brutal level-gate fest by the CEOs.

PRIMORDUS235d ago

There are only a few Assassin's Creed games I played. Original, The Ezio Collection, and what I think is probably the best in the series Assassin's Creed Odyssey with the DLC. I'm done with the series, it's the same shit.

isarai233d ago (Edited 233d ago )

Same, enjoyed 1, looooved the ezio trilogy, and 4 was peak, everything after that just sucked. Unity was a great direction but the bugs and how long it took to fix killed it, best parkour system in the series tho

AC Origins is the last great Ubisoft game. Period. This game show how great the Ubisoft story writing once was. Also the meticulous research Ubisoft did in the field of Egyptology. Ubisoft was so pride of their research that it made a separate Touring mode just to showcase all of their study.

10 Video Game Sequels That Saved Their Franchise

Video game sequels like Assassin's Creed Origins, Doom (2016), and Fire Emblem Awakening were just what these franchises needed to be revitalized.

Immagaiden986d ago

Lmao what’s Halo Infinite doing on this list?

Who would ever say Halo Infinite saved the Halo franchise

SullysCigar986d ago

Thought the same - very bizarre!

RE7 though... my God, what a shift over RE6! That franchise was definitely going in the wrong direction, so RE7 was a welcome return to form.

ModsDoBetter986d ago

Resi 6 was and still is the worst entry in the series.
7 was a great turnaround, despite people’s concerned about the switch to FP perspective.

DMC5 definitely helped the franchise after the whole DmC debacle. Whilst it was a decent action game, it was a far cry from the series and the characters we knew.

AC Origins is my favourite in the entire AC series. Despite the switch to a more RPG style of gameplay - the setting, soundtrack, length, etc were all amazing. sadly followed up by the ridiculously long and “more of the same” Odsyssey.

I don’t feel it’s fair to say the franchise slipped with Doom 3, Doom 3 was incredibly atmospheric and took the game in a different direction but there’s no denying Doom (2016) was sensational.

Halo 4 & 5 were disappointing but Halo Infinite definitely didn’t save the franchise? What?

TheEnigma313986d ago (Edited 986d ago )

I'm going to have to go with SMB 3. I was around when SMB 2 first came out and people hated it. 3 is still arguably the best mario game created.

HellspawnPR1981986d ago

"Halo Infinite"? Worse Halo ever. Whoever made this list just lost all credibility.

Hofstaderman986d ago

In future lists of a similar nature I have a suspicion Final Fantasy XVI will feature.
