Square Enix is pushing Last remnant, infinite undiscover and star ocean for 360. I don't even think square has any playable ps3 games so its not really surprising. I mean its not like there are any more PS3 exclusives from square microsoft can buy

Darkiewonder6436d ago

All that's left is Versus. But looking at Microsoft now they ran out of money and buying Exclusive demos.

DARKKNIGHT6436d ago (Edited 6436d ago )

had gta4 been a ps3 exclusive, it would have embarrassed san andreas as a game. BUT, by microsoft paying 50 mill for it. The game got seriously downgraded.....i mean think about it. niko cant get different hairstyles like cj, cant customize cars, cant buy cribs, NO TANKS??? no different airplanes to fly. He candt do sh1t!! why? we all know why...........it came out on the 360.
It seems the 360 is out to buy any and all software that sold by the boatloads on previous playstation hardware. M$ has stooped so low this gen, that i hope there is no 720. all they are doing is ruining the industry... by saturating the pockets of developers with easy millions in exchange for timed exclusivity, M$ is holding back game development by enslaving devs to put the 360 as the lead platform for a period of time(bioshock). Same devs that used to drop great games, are now dropping so-so multiplatform games. So buying up the market is their strategy. Were have they done that before?

Sonys counter strategy for m$ seems to be paying off. Personally, i dont mind nintendo being in the lead as far as hw sales go. The wii is the antifat, i understand its purpose so u really cant hate. Plus if you get this for your girl(gifts;girls loveem. youll both have a great time;). I know sony prefers nin over ms in the top spot too. Think about it, really think about it. where does sony stand? The bottom line is the 360 was done once halo3 dropped. Whats it got now? a home ripoff? a psn ripoff? awiimote ripoff? to go along with hdmi add on=$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. get my drift?
Whats left? oh yeah i almost forgot: 4000x3000 pixel gow2 pics..... like the 360 can even do half that rez natively.ROR
The video game industry is being overwhemelmed by a green poisonous cloud, Some people can actually see through all this smoke, and realize its only M$ trying to monopolize and ruin the video game industry.

DID U RIKE IT?

Grown Folks Talk6436d ago

If Microsoft hadn't payed for all that exclusive content in all of the sports games, they wouldn't have had features cut either. People try to act like new, trickier hardware has something to do with it. What a joke. Why would Rockstar leave stuff out JUST because it was their 1st next gen attempt at GTA?

ThanatosDMC6436d ago

Yeah, GTA4's graphics were an upgrade but the gameplay and the amount was so minuscule compared to San Andreas.

I hope they dont dumb down other multiplats... we all want a game to be at its peak rather than get a cut down on its crotch.

There was another game they were dumbing down but i forgot what it was called. Instead of 5 different gigantic maps, it's going to be two maps and each map is separated by a disk change on 360. Borderlands??? I forgot.

bunbun7776436d ago

Rage. They switched it around for the 360's 9gb dvd disks. MS lovers must think to themselves just a little the consequences for what this means for the future of development- i just wish the 360 would be upgraded and the playing field could be more level.

Prototype6436d ago

Personally M$ can keep Square as a company; over time the quality of their games went down and now they seem more interested in money than making half-decent games.

Square lost one customer because money > quality.

Thanks square, another company who makes quality games will see my money, not you guys.

Take that crap to the open zone

No Way6436d ago (Edited 6436d ago )

Uhm. Nah. It's not cause of the 360. That's how the game was going to pan out, regardless. People complained about some of the stuff that you had to do in San Andreas, so they removed it. And, plus, they wanted GTA4 to be more life like, and in such a small area in comparison to SA there is no need for airplanes, and with that being said there was no need to have a tank accessible in the city.

And, you're saying that just because "niko cant get different hairstyles like cj, cant customize cars, cant buy cribs, NO TANKS???" it's downgraded??

And, let me guess, it's because of Microsoft that the car steering is different, eh? And, is it because of Microsoft that the game mechanics in general are different, huh?

Don't be stupid..

Lanoire6436d ago

MS has cash and desperate, so willing to pay SE anything. SE is there for the money and for the money only.

360 is getting all the SE trash. Multiplatform games that MS can buy for timed exclusiveness.

Meanwhile people forget the following.
Final fantasy 1
Final fantasy 2
Valkyrie Profile remake
Final Fantasy tactics
Star ocean 1
Star ocean 2
Final fantasy Dissidia
Final fantasy 5
Final fantasy Agito
Kingdom Hearts birth by sleep

Guess what. SE bringing these games on a Sony machine. Not MS machine.

And their two biggest projects: FF13 and VS13 are still majorly leaned towards PS3 with Sony having a stranglehold on them.

I agree though, SE actions are treacherous and despicable. But they are hardly buddies with MS.

Mozilla896435d ago

Just to comment on one of your comments (lol). Of course tanks arent necessary but they're a whole lotta fun. Part of what made previous GTA's fun was that it was a little over the top w/ chainsaws, jetpacks, tanks, etc. Given a choice would you drive a car or a tank?

sumfood4u6435d ago

When it comes out i'll buy it until than im into eye of judgment cards. Anyways i'll be glad when I get my 3 bubbles back an Sorry to anyone I offended! It seems speaking yur mind a little offend anyone. So I'm sorry 4 thoes I offended. Peace Out!

No Way6435d ago (Edited 6435d ago )

A'ight. I gotcah.

But, bro, I agree with you that tanks are fun. Duh! Haha.
But, the whole point of my post was because DARKKNIGHT was blaming MS for how GTA4 turned out. Nothing would have changed if it was exclusive to PS3. As far as gameplay, and what was in the game.

So, regardless if it was exclusive to the PS3, there still wouldn't have been haircuts, planes, tanks, or anything that he said.

But, like I said, I agree with you. Tanks are a whole lotta fun. And, the over the top stuff did make it funner and what made GTA, but Rock* had GTA4 in mind to be a more realistic game. MS did not change that.

BISHOP-BRASIL6435d ago (Edited 6435d ago )

The question is if MS paying for DLC have made R* cut content so they something to sell over the Xbox Live.

I say, we have to wait and see the DLC to say where it's true or not.

I'm usually inclined to say guilty for MS in most cases, but in this one, I don't think so.

R* did just what they want to, they lost just that much time making the "life like" game, with much better city, mechanics, steering (yes, it was annoying at first, but more "life like" than previous tittles), people on the streets, animation, cover system, you call it! So they have to launch it with way less content or area than San Andreas.

The airplane has it's own case pretty obviously. After 9/11, R* wouldn't and shouldn't expect a aprovation for a game that is both politically wrong and violent, with planes all around so you can run into any building with it. I'll not discuss where it was right or wrong, from MS, from fiscalization or from public recption, but that's it, they just can't have planes in New York/Liberty City.

But, aside from the planes, I think R* was just so preoccupied with making it Mature (not Adult) and more "life-like" that it totally missed the point. We never loved GTA for being life-like. Most liked it because you could chainsaw a gang rival or a cop (I really don't liked the gang thing on San Andreas, it's pathetic, I was so more into Vice City more mafioso way), be persued around the city, take a Apache Helicopter, come back to the enemy turf/base and bomb their @sses to hell.

EDIT: But, as I said before, we have to wait the DLC to say. If it comes with planes, tanks, creepy weapons, haicuts, car customization and what not, than hell MS has just done it. But this don't mean MS made it alone, R* is still to blame.

Mozilla896435d ago

Haha alright then I call a truce. I lost the point of your post, I really wish there were tanks though...

Right sonarus? They took everything but 13versus from PS3, so they might as well be going after Wii games...

Btw I call it right now...NCsoft (guildwars, tabla rosa) will steal the show. I see something for the PS3 from them finally as well published by Sony.

Raoh6436d ago

well ncsoft and sony do have an exclusivity agreement..

i was hoping to hear that blade and soul would be announced for the ps3...

AAACE56436d ago

Nintendo has the FF:CC games, and look to take the Dragon Quest games as well!

Raoh6436d ago

yea i saw the square tgs lineup for their booth they have a slot dedicated to xbox 360 projects..

not sure about square but at least capcom and other companies are learning that timed exclusives are bad for business...

Pain6436d ago

And a big one for JP SE luv...

Lanoire6436d ago

But it is all folly.

Demons Souls
White Knight Chronicles
Team ICO
Gran Turismo
9 more PS3 IP announcements.

I dont see how. Halo expansion or another overmilked Halo game wont make a difference. Halo isnt even big in Japan.

GiantEnemyLobster6435d ago

..to realize that they need to stop spending time and resources on that shhitstation 3 and start emphasizing their work on a REAL console.. the XBOX®360.

bomboclaat_gamer6436d ago

i know y u dont care. stupid fanb!tch

pixelsword6436d ago

...I know they are businesses, and they need to survive, but they didn't even give the PS3 a chance before holding FF XIII for ransom so the 360 version could be finished.

BUT here's what's going to play in the PS3's favor:

If FF XIII for the 360 is on three or less discs, that could show that the PS3 version was "adjusted" for the 360, as the 360 version of Rage needed 3 discs. That would mean insta-rent status for FF XIII, and Square will make even less money, as RPG's, even JRPG's, aren't usually system sellers in America. Most people who will buy a console for FF XIII are going to get it on the PS3, so all advantage will go to the PS3 as far as new buyers; especially since by then the PS3 will go through another price drop.

The funniest thing will be that the PS3 will likely be the console with the most '09 sells due to Killzone 2, gow III, and other games will make Square look even more of a failure because they won't be able to convert the mass majority of PS3 sales into FF XIII sales outside of Japan.

And while Square will be mopping-up the goo from the self-inflicted wound, the PS3 will be (finally) getting a slew of JRPG's in '09.

Underrated comment. I used to hate that game so much that any time my siblings asked me to play it, I just picked Hom and shut myself down mid-match.
