With Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus due out next week, many may be revisiting some of the highlights of the series. Wolfenstein 3D invented the FPS genre. Return To Castle Wolfenstein provided a refreshing alternative to the proto-Call of Duty world of Medal of Honor. Wolfenstein: The New Order rejuvenated the franchise.
But there's one game in the series that's often overlooked: 2009's Wolfenstein, by Raven Software.

Definitely a good game and loved the art style. My daughter watched me play it when she was 4 years old. I’ll have to replay it with her someday now that she’s older. It’s crazy it’s been around 11 years.
I was thinking of pulling out my PS3 super slim this winter to replay Rain, and try to tackle some of the backlog I acquired.
I love Enslaved such a sleeper hit, Asuras Wrath a very good game I still own, and I wish EA would put out a new Dante's Inferno another game I enjoyed. I never heard of the Rain game I might have to try it out might give Ebay a snoop or two.

Sometimes, you want a relatable villain who makes you question your own morality. Other times, you want Frau Engel.
It got old tbh. Machine needed a break from the IP. Indie is a good reprieve.

I really wish they'd remake Return to Castle Wolfenstein from the ground up. Easily the best of them all.
