ECHO Review (TSA)

TSA writes: "Now here’s what you call a sleeper hit. Smart, unique, and stylish, ECHO is the first game from Ultra Ultra, a team comprised of IO Interactive alumni – the creative talent behind Hitman. At a distance ECHO doesn’t seem to offer much beyond its Versailles-esque interiors and a pair of prominent voice actors. Some twenty minutes into the game and it still won’t click for most people. ECHO developer Ultra Ultra shuts down

Ultra Ultra, the Copenhagen-based studio behind the third-person science-fiction adventure game ECHO, has closed shop, the studio announced.

“We’re terribly sad to report that Ultra Ultra has ceased to exist,” the studio said in a tweet. “We are grateful to have had the chance to crystallize something truly from the heart. ECHO will remain available on stores.”

Despite the studio closure, the film based on ECHO is “still in the works.”

ECHO was released digitally for PlayStation 4 and PC (Steam) in September 2017 to favorable reviews.

God damn it, that game was one of the most atmospheric and immersive games pretty much ever. Too bad artistic games get buried and only shooty shooty, pew pew pew junk makes money.

Wasn't a fan of the game but I did appreciated the effort that the devs crafted in it. Really sucks when small developers with good potential gets shut down
