My first one made it past the first Thanksgiving but only because it was less than a week away. It was dead before it's first anniversary though. The rest have fared considerably worse except number 4 - a HALO launch model which has been locking up lately.

I'm going to spend the next few hours verifying the information and contacting the admins,the RROD Bomb is a threat to both n4g.com and the internet;It must be stopped at all costs.

Killjoy3000, just let it go. The guy is an imbecile. He can't add and only looks at the sticker price. People like him wind up with zero long term financial plans and are often spotted hitching rides at interstate on ramps when they are 65 years old.

Smart gamers look at the sticker price AND associated costs such as 4-5 years of Live as well as the purchase of MS non proprietary items including an outrageously priced HDD.

Smart gamers know that when you consider the entire package the 360 easily costs more. People like this troglodyte feel smug in their purchase though in reality they are financial mental midgets. But when you live in denial with your head in the sand and ass in the air, a lack of oxygen and exposure to an actual next gen product will allow you to believe anything.

Of course 360 will survive after the holidays. I'm a PS3 fanboy and I'll be getting one.

M$ is going all out trying to gain market share, and that competition leads to some good pricing. I still think M$ has one more good price drop left in them though.

With all of the good PS3 games coming out this fall, I can wait for a price drop for a Premium or Elite. Or wait for a Jasper board conformation. Whatever happens first, I'll make the jump
