Why post a video in 2017 with 720p resolution ??!! Incredible fail. Especially for games that supports PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. Makes no sense at all. 1080p up to 4K should be the norm for previews/reviews like this imho.

Obscure_Observer3025d ago

Yeah. I watched many videos from 2017´s TGS in 720p. What´s goin on?

smolinsk3025d ago

Xbox grandstanding nothing more, this game will be good on all the systems, its just one of those game franchises. For example when i got Blackflag for PS4 it came with the PS3 version aswell, i played the PS4 version first of course, and really enjoyed it, and about a year after that i played the PS3 version, and i was immersed once again, the little PS3 version had been scaled to pull you in. And at no time playing the PS3 version did i think that it was inferior to the PS4 version, although it technically was. So one guy says " My car is faster than yours, its does 200 MPH " the other guy says " but the speed limit is 70 MPH " the guy replies with "why dont you die in a fire you racist" This is the world we live in.lol Anyway im off to buy the new smart phone for $1000, because quite clearly i will beable to make better phone calls than last years version. :D

xbox fans feel good being able to say something will look better on xbox than on PS4, but as usual, the xbox fans make it sound like it will be more substantial on xb1x then it really will be.

Just let them have it. Everything else they overhyped came and went. XoneX is the next big hope.

The glaring hole in your analogy is that a 200mph car cannot fully use its resources on a public road, yet a game console can go all out 100% of the time and you acess all the power during normal gameplay.

In addition, a 70mph and a 200mph car can look the same and provide a similar driving experience, yet the ps3's graphics look like shit next to the ps4.

Nice try, though..

Ubisoft just has the marketing deal with Microsoft and there's no launch games for the X so this and any other third party title will be showcased on the X. Well the ones that have a deal with Microsoft but as I've said before I'm quite pleased with my Pro and downloading the Witcher 3 4K update last night just reiterated my feelings. While the Witcher 3 may not be native 4K I can't tell because it already looked great but now it's crystal clear. While I can see how some would view the X as attractive, for me it's a hard sell as I have a Samsung 4K Blu Ray player and a Pro and Switch and am very happy indeed. I will say if there were some tangible exclusives then I would be more apt to buy one. As it stands while the X may play third party titles better I'm fine getting them on the Pro and at the same time most Sony exclusives Lost Legecy, God of War and HZD come to mind) look better than a lot of the titles that look good on the X. To each his own though. What ever makes you happy!

I'll enjoy on ps4, assuming I have time since GTS and Destiny 2 will be taking most of my time

I've Been Replaying Assassin's Creed Origins, And It's Reminded Me What Shadows Is Sorely Lacking

It took going back to a much older game to realise just how empty Assassin's Creed Shadows feels.

"I've never thought feudal Japan would be a good Assassin's Creed setting. Give me 1960s southern England with mods and rockers."

Aaaaaaand that's where I stopped reading.

Terry_B235d ago

Never read anything on that website.

chicken_in_the_corn235d ago

I agree with the first part of their statement. Japan is so overused and it wasn't particularly interesting in Shadows. Now that it's been done, they can do something better.

isarai233d ago

Tf? Almost had an aneurysm at the thought of that concept, like what?

And shadows reminds me of something origins is lacking. Virtually every game is lacking something. It is because it is lacking, that it has what it isnt. Funny dichotomy that…

anast235d ago

Origins is a beautiful game made by talented people that got turned into a brutal level-gate fest by the CEOs.

PRIMORDUS235d ago

There are only a few Assassin's Creed games I played. Original, The Ezio Collection, and what I think is probably the best in the series Assassin's Creed Odyssey with the DLC. I'm done with the series, it's the same shit.

isarai233d ago (Edited 233d ago )

Same, enjoyed 1, looooved the ezio trilogy, and 4 was peak, everything after that just sucked. Unity was a great direction but the bugs and how long it took to fix killed it, best parkour system in the series tho

AC Origins is the last great Ubisoft game. Period. This game show how great the Ubisoft story writing once was. Also the meticulous research Ubisoft did in the field of Egyptology. Ubisoft was so pride of their research that it made a separate Touring mode just to showcase all of their study.

10 Video Game Sequels That Saved Their Franchise

Video game sequels like Assassin's Creed Origins, Doom (2016), and Fire Emblem Awakening were just what these franchises needed to be revitalized.

Immagaiden986d ago

Lmao what’s Halo Infinite doing on this list?

Who would ever say Halo Infinite saved the Halo franchise

SullysCigar986d ago

Thought the same - very bizarre!

RE7 though... my God, what a shift over RE6! That franchise was definitely going in the wrong direction, so RE7 was a welcome return to form.

ModsDoBetter986d ago

Resi 6 was and still is the worst entry in the series.
7 was a great turnaround, despite people’s concerned about the switch to FP perspective.

DMC5 definitely helped the franchise after the whole DmC debacle. Whilst it was a decent action game, it was a far cry from the series and the characters we knew.

AC Origins is my favourite in the entire AC series. Despite the switch to a more RPG style of gameplay - the setting, soundtrack, length, etc were all amazing. sadly followed up by the ridiculously long and “more of the same” Odsyssey.

I don’t feel it’s fair to say the franchise slipped with Doom 3, Doom 3 was incredibly atmospheric and took the game in a different direction but there’s no denying Doom (2016) was sensational.

Halo 4 & 5 were disappointing but Halo Infinite definitely didn’t save the franchise? What?

TheEnigma313986d ago (Edited 986d ago )

I'm going to have to go with SMB 3. I was around when SMB 2 first came out and people hated it. 3 is still arguably the best mario game created.

HellspawnPR1981986d ago

"Halo Infinite"? Worse Halo ever. Whoever made this list just lost all credibility.

Hofstaderman986d ago

In future lists of a similar nature I have a suspicion Final Fantasy XVI will feature.
