As Assassin's Creed Origins nears release later this month, we get hands-on again with the third-person action adventure. This time we experienced new content with all the bells and whistles offered by the Xbox One X.

It took going back to a much older game to realise just how empty Assassin's Creed Shadows feels.
"I've never thought feudal Japan would be a good Assassin's Creed setting. Give me 1960s southern England with mods and rockers."
Aaaaaaand that's where I stopped reading.
And shadows reminds me of something origins is lacking. Virtually every game is lacking something. It is because it is lacking, that it has what it isnt. Funny dichotomy that…
Origins is a beautiful game made by talented people that got turned into a brutal level-gate fest by the CEOs.
There are only a few Assassin's Creed games I played. Original, The Ezio Collection, and what I think is probably the best in the series Assassin's Creed Odyssey with the DLC. I'm done with the series, it's the same shit.

Ubisoft shared a developer Q&A about Assassin's Creed Origins, clearing up pretty much any doubt you could possibly have regarding the game.
AC Origins is the last great Ubisoft game. Period. This game show how great the Ubisoft story writing once was. Also the meticulous research Ubisoft did in the field of Egyptology. Ubisoft was so pride of their research that it made a separate Touring mode just to showcase all of their study.

Video game sequels like Assassin's Creed Origins, Doom (2016), and Fire Emblem Awakening were just what these franchises needed to be revitalized.
Lmao what’s Halo Infinite doing on this list?
Who would ever say Halo Infinite saved the Halo franchise
Resi 6 was and still is the worst entry in the series.
7 was a great turnaround, despite people’s concerned about the switch to FP perspective.
DMC5 definitely helped the franchise after the whole DmC debacle. Whilst it was a decent action game, it was a far cry from the series and the characters we knew.
AC Origins is my favourite in the entire AC series. Despite the switch to a more RPG style of gameplay - the setting, soundtrack, length, etc were all amazing. sadly followed up by the ridiculously long and “more of the same” Odsyssey.
I don’t feel it’s fair to say the franchise slipped with Doom 3, Doom 3 was incredibly atmospheric and took the game in a different direction but there’s no denying Doom (2016) was sensational.
Halo 4 & 5 were disappointing but Halo Infinite definitely didn’t save the franchise? What?
I'm going to have to go with SMB 3. I was around when SMB 2 first came out and people hated it. 3 is still arguably the best mario game created.
"Halo Infinite"? Worse Halo ever. Whoever made this list just lost all credibility.
In future lists of a similar nature I have a suspicion Final Fantasy XVI will feature.
Why post a video in 2017 with 720p resolution ??!! Incredible fail. Especially for games that supports PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. Makes no sense at all. 1080p up to 4K should be the norm for previews/reviews like this imho.
As will the pro version be.
Xbox grandstanding nothing more, this game will be good on all the systems, its just one of those game franchises. For example when i got Blackflag for PS4 it came with the PS3 version aswell, i played the PS4 version first of course, and really enjoyed it, and about a year after that i played the PS3 version, and i was immersed once again, the little PS3 version had been scaled to pull you in. And at no time playing the PS3 version did i think that it was inferior to the PS4 version, although it technically was. So one guy says " My car is faster than yours, its does 200 MPH " the other guy says " but the speed limit is 70 MPH " the guy replies with "why dont you die in a fire you racist" This is the world we live in.lol Anyway im off to buy the new smart phone for $1000, because quite clearly i will beable to make better phone calls than last years version. :D
I'll enjoy on ps4, assuming I have time since GTS and Destiny 2 will be taking most of my time
