All I need now is a PS4 Pro.

If they have nailed native 4k I'll be very very impressed. I'd have been impressed at anything over 1440 native to be honest. Looks like these guys really got to grips with the Pro

I still haven't played this game yet. This is just the excuse I need to jump in head first. I always start games on the Hard difficulty, but many people suggest starting on the Very Hard difficulty so that's what I'll do. I've purposely not watched anything besides the first trailer because I knew I would always play it one day, but because of the scope of such a game, I know that when I start this game, it has to be just this game and nothing else being played. All in or all out. I honestly don't even know what the gameplay really looks like. Whenever a video would come up, I just didn't watch it. I think now is the time. Love my Ps4 Pro and I think I need to step into this game and not look back.

I know 60 fps is where it's at game play wise by my God do some of these higher resolution modes look sharp. I'm jealous of the PC Master race that can have it all.

Though I have a Pro I just can not get into The Witcher 3 & I've tried to play it twice.

I gave it a run this morning (new game plus) played some gwent in glorious 4k (or whatever the res is), looks really good, need to try platinum it as well

CDPR didn't have to do this and yet they did it anyway. This is just another reason to consider them the best in this industry.

Damn, I played the game again last night with the Pro update and it made a
game I thought had already looked great on the PS4 WAY better looking.
Everything is immediately noticeable how much sharper the image looks.
It is as if the textures are updated. I am not kidding either.
I know that is most likely not the case and it simply has better texture filtering
due to the higher resolution, but damn I did not notice how high-res the textures were before.
One look at Geralt chain mail on his default armor from the beginning quest and you'll see what I mean.
I never was in awe of something like that before, but now, there are so much more details that really gets noticed and appreciated.

That is just a testament to how talented the developers for this game is.

I hope they improved my 1080p experience!

From this moment henceforth, Xbox hardware shall simply just exist but have no significant bearing from a business standpoint or from a gamer culture standpoint. It will simply be there for the people that want to have it and that's fine if they're selling it at a high price and actually making money off each sale.

But they should never ever again be Xbox fanboys anymore than they should be Lenovo laptop fanboys it's just a piece of hardware that exists to serve a purpose for niche group of people.

I’ll say this. Cyberpunk had a tumultuous start on console. Even if it had sold like crazy, that whole almost unplayable fiasco and being given no questions asked refunds made a lot of people not look back.
When it comes to PC, people are a lot more forgiving of things like that, especially on Steam, because of the return policy. I really think console manufacturers should implement the exact same refund policy. Was it played under X time? Refund it. It makes people take that risk on games a LOT more than on console. Bought this game and it was broken? Refund it. They said they fixed it 3 months later? Buy it again. It’s fixed but just not fun? Refund it. On console you don’t have that luxury. Was it downloaded? GG. No refund. Lord knows my Steam library is full of “I’ll try it” games that I loved and I’m glad I can take a rush on. On console, specifically PlayStation because I’m not buying Xbox games, I take calculated risk. Known developers. Shinobi, Ninja Gaiden ragebound, stuff like that. Obviously big exclusives and games too. I would have never tried Little Bookstore on PlayStation, but on Steam… why not? Hellish Quart? Why not. Buckshot Roulette? Why not.

this is why console sales matter, folks.
