Over the course of its development Resident Evil 5 has seen its fair share of hiccups and controversy. Unfounded cries of racism aside, the most important issue facing hardcore gamers (and indeed fans of the series) is the aging controller setup of this new Resident Evil - a system which has now seen some 'evolution'...

Circana data shows Resident Evil 5 as the best selling Resident Evil game in the US, ahead of Resident Evil 4 remake and Village.
So the most successful RE is the one where a white man is killing Africans.
This can't be real.

New leaks from Dusk Golem detail cancelled Resident Evil projects, including a Rebecca focused Revelations game, while stating no Resident Evil 5 remake is in development.
Capcom's willingness to invest in experiments and scrap them sets them apart form many other developers (Nintendo have a similar methodology). Far too often companies push a game setting or game mechanic that is just not that good and the final product is middling or poor.

Dusk Golem claims a Resident Evil 5 remake is not coming this year, with a Code Veronica remake expected instead.
Hopefully if and when they do a RE5 remake, they give it the RE3 remake treatment, because this is certainly one title that I don't want a faithful remake of.
I hate the Resident Evil controls. Gear of War-like sounds like just the ticket.
Hopefully you can choose the other controls in the options menu. I'm fine with the controls RE4 had. I don't want crappy Gears of War controls.
A lot of people were complaining about not being able to move and shoot so this is a welcome surprise.
You would tend to think that Capcom and RE would be a little bit more comfortable on PlayStation than on Xbox given the series history, but I just can't get over my hatred of the PS3 controller. Feels like crap in my hands and the triggers are terrible.
So I think X360 for me. although I am glad to have the luxuory of the choice
The only question I have is whether or not the movement can be done while aiming?
