I'll definitely be playing all my 3rd party games on the Xbox One X. Since the PS4's had the better hardware I've been playing on it and the Pro, but now Xbox has the raw power, so that's where I'll be playing my 3rd party titles. My PS4 Pro will still get attention, just not as much. First party game machine only.

The same way you build any console, or the same way Sony built the current most powerful console, and the same way the next one will be built. It's just like any other console, only with updated components. This sort of thing has been happening for decades...

If this thing plays most games especially open worlds at 60 fps then I would gladly call it a game changer.

I'm excited for the new Xbox One X. But what got me even more excited is that this has a 6 tflops GPU. When the PS5 or the next Xbox comes they will hopefully be around 10 tflops. Meaning most games will be native 4K. And 4K will be the new standard. And it's the models that come after that is truly exciting.

Because when they have hit that 4K wall. Hopefully the next focus will be to go from 30 to 60 fps with focus on CPU.

They waited a year and then release it. Bam, most powerful. Pretty simple. It isn't some sort of f**king meaning of life conundrum. The next console that comes out after this one will be the new most powerful console, and the cycle will continue indefinitely as it always has.

It will be VERY interesting to see how this thing stands the test of time. There is LOTS of heat building up inside this box. MS had issues last generation with this (RROD anyone). While they are talking up the Vapor Chamber Heat Sink only time will tell.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
