Wat is it with these devs recently?? Capcom seem to be thinking the same bad idea`s as Squeenix. Resident Evil Remake is IMO one of the very few games from the last gen that stands up against most current gen games, it could have easliy been given the hi-def treatment and released for 360 & PS3.

If i was running Capcom i would remake the whole RE series (which took place in Raccon City) into 3 parts and called it Resident Evil: The Raccon City Incident

jofra016431d ago

That idea is completely similar to the Umbrella Chronicles for the Nintendo Wii that was a great rail shooter

Panthers6431d ago

This version of RE was probably the best in the series. It was an amazing remake of the first game.

shovelbum6431d ago

I am sure that I will beat it yet again on yet another system. Game is pretty damn good so what's not to like.

TruthbeTold6431d ago (Edited 6431d ago )

I don't see why any long time fan of the series wouldn't want this.

@ below:
I definitely agree that something new would be nice. Even so, at least they are going all out with the graphics. (From a Wii standpoint that is)

Heldrasil6431d ago

Most of us "long time fans" have already played on the gamecube. I agree with Marlec (post #1) that they should have ported this to other consoles. I would have bought this and RE Zero in heart beat...but I guess there would be almost no effort having to port this from Gamecube to Wii, quick ca$h in their pockets!

TheColbertinator6431d ago

I have played RE1,2,3 and Veronica too much already. The PS1 versions,Saturn versions,N64 versions,Dreamcast versions, and the Gamecube versions.I need some new Resident Evil games not just remakes

Marceles6431d ago

I already have the Gamecube verision, but this game still looks good to this day. And to think, it came out in 2002...it was really epic then.

silenius6431d ago (Edited 6431d ago )

Are they serious??? A Resident F*cking Evil on F*CKING NINTENDO????
AGAIN???? WHYYYYY?????
why Nintendo gets Again a remake of this Epic game while PS3 or 360 Dont... I DONT GET IT... WHY???? Are they so Stupid or What??? And dont you DARE tell me that its not gonna Sell cause you know thats BuLLsH*t..

Oh my god... plz give us this game to the 360 & PS3... we're your childrens too...

Snipes206431d ago

Wii owners don't. Unless they own another system. Honestly, I would like it if they gave Wii owners RE5 with a ramped up RE4 engine and gave the other systems good remakes of the classics, but what is, is.

kg73106431d ago

RE 5 is comin to the wii too..

jorgeanaya0006431d ago

RE 5 isn't coming to the Wii, it was just a rumor. I think there is a petition to bring it to Wii, though.

At first I was like, No Code Veronica on the list!? But then I seen Mainline. The list checks out, but I would personally put 2 over 4.

KwietStorm_BLM81d ago

I'll take 2 over 4 also. And even without a number, I don't see how Code Veronica, my other favorite in the franchise, isn't mainline when it's the actual sequel to RE2.

Rebel_Scum81d ago

The original RE was the best. Its not on the list which makes no sense.

The remake of it was alright but should be higher on this list.

-Foxtrot81d ago

The original RE smokes VII and Village, come on.

ivoryrolland9561d ago

i’m fine with people calling it “mainline,” but leaving out the original re1 entirely is wild, since it basically defines the whole series. i’d still put re2 over re4 for pure pacing and atmosphere, even though re4 is the more replayable game. also, the “mainline” label gets messy with code veronica since it feels more essential than some numbered entries. i swear half the time i’m reading these rankings i get derailed by random gambling tabs i opened earlier, including https://monopolybigballerli... and https://football-studio-dic... and https://red-baron.org/ which is a weird contrast to talking about survival horror.
