Mario + Rabbids is a great single player game. There are some other games like Disgaea that you could always try out. There are also many games on the eShop you could try while you wait for a single player experience like Mario Odyssey.

The system is still new. It may take a while to develop an extensive library that you see on other consoles, but there are still things to play. My recommendation is to just experiment with some games you may not have looked at before.

Really ? People are still making these articles lol so far there's too much for me to play on the switch. Just got Dragonball Xenoverse and steam world dig just this week plus got Pokemon arriving Monday. Still haven't finished m&r kingdom battle and Splatoon still has me addicted. Thimbleweed park also just released this week so I'm picking that up once I bring my log down a little on the switch. Doesn't get more clickbaitier then this

I am hoping I can resist the lure of Mario because I would prefer to wait for a bigger library before picking up the Switch.....its going to be tough to resist when Mario hits though, especially when I am already gagging to play Zelda BotW.

In the same boat. I bought it, played Zelda and it’s been off ever since. I don’t dislike it. It’s cool for what it is but I always end up on the PS4 or Xbox. There are just simply more games that I’m into on them and they are bigger and better performing. I don’t mean this in a negative way but I really feel it’s not a real console. It’s a mobile/handheld first and mostly. The only thing that makes it a “console” is that you can play it on a tv. Full consoles however have things like proper online services, hard drives, data management, optical drives, apps, better I/o support etc. the switch has more in common with the Vita and DS - just with controller peripherals.

The big retort is always “but gameplay always trumps graphics” to which I say sure. A game can be beautiful and not very fun to play. The thing is, I’ve played plenty of games that have amazing gameplay AND fantastic graphics. It’s a full experience for all senses. Games like Horizon: zero Dawn, Uncharted, Forza Horizon 3, grand theft auto V etc are all fantastic at gameplay with great, immersive visuals that pull you into the worlds.

Maybe it’s just me, but I’ll sacrifice portability for more amazing games any day.

Tbh I kind of feel the same, have not switched on Switch since I finished zelda. I just think I have grown out of Nintendo exclusives and I would rather play 3rd party on PS4, PC or xbox

There's a bunch of games worth playing on it now. Mario Odyssey next month, Splatoon 2, Mario + Rabbids, project octopath next year, Mario kart 8 deluxe, pokken tournament dx and still more to come. It's not just about exclusives but also about which games are better on the go.

If you're done with the games already out, then wait a few months for new ones. A bunch of awesome games are coming out soon of all genres. Surely some will be of interest to you.

I was in the same Nintenboat when the Switch first released. Instead of waiting for a bit too long for the next hit titles I picked up a Wii U and finished Breath of the Wild on it—and picked up Mario World 3D.

I don't own a Switch but at one point was thinking about getting one. I think the concept is very cool and even though it has a lot of games now I don't see too many that are for me. Having said that Nintendo isn't for everyone and the same goes for every console including PC. You have to chose the one that's best for you.

Seriously, there are so many other games to play on it. Even just the Nintendo offerings are stellar with Splatoon 2, ARMS and MK8 deluxe. Rabbids is amazing, and there are tons of other titles that appeal to so many others.

Mario Kart 8... Mario Odyssey barley a month away, Splatoon maybe although still happy to use my Wii U version as barely played that and Arms Maybe Street Fighter is a turd no Arcade mode and no one online when I was trying to play. Bomberman could be good in Vs But online was pretty empty not too sure on campaign either

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
