Good interview. There has been incorrect information going around that Sony continued to say BF2 would have VR. It was corrected earlier this year with an update

It does suck that the game won't have any VR mode. But being EA, I figured the *only* reason they made the first VR mode in Battlefront 1 was to sell the main game. Because the only way to play the *free level* was to *buy* the game. Activision created a VR level with Jackal Assault and gave it away for *free* with no strings attached. You didn't have to buy Call of Duty to play it.

As we all know, it is only immediate profit that EA will do something. Their excuse of why it's not there because of psychological effects of fast space battles but say they learned from the VR mode to create the Star Fighter part of Battlefront 2 doesn't cover up their lack of VR mode. The real reason is they believe less players can handle hectic battles in VR which translates into less money made. But if you don't give the PSVR, Vive and Oculus players the chance to see for themselves if they can handle it, AAA VR modes will never increase.
Main game should be fun. But it's a lost opportunity. I'll just wait for a cheaper, used copy since it doesn't have VR and look forward to End space VR for my space combat fix

Doesn't have multiplayer but I can live with a long single player game and it's only $19.99 with Plus member discount at launch. And, End Space has Hotas support

I can live with that too. And use it on Ace Combat 7 later. Win win.
