Shake what up? You cant "shake it up" and be ... YEARS late to the party. The ppl who are snagging the switch are mainly wiiu/3ds crowd... I could care less for "achievements" They needed a online infrastructure at the very least... I mean f its 2017... Most of their other shortcomings with the switch can be overlooked by most nintendo fans... And announce the damned virtual console already! They better let you transfer games that youve already bought but by judging by the past nintendo will give the middle finger and make you buy their sh!t all over again.

This will make more Nintendo Fans interested in staying devoted to Nintendo games maybe. Only a matter of time before superiority complexes come to them for getting that Nintendo stamp of completion on Mario games

I would rather not have them. They are just a way for losers to compare their epeens with each other. Games should be played for the fun, not collecting X number of stupid things.

My friend demanded that I 100% RE5 with him. We went through shooting all these little blue discs in each level. It was monotonous and stupid. For years and years I've only needed 1 more trophy to get the plat. It's called "Who do you trust" and apparently it's an easy one but I have no intention of getting it because I just don't give a damn.

Same way for every game I've ever played. I have a lot that I never finished because they just weren't fun to play. Others I have replayed and beaten over and over because they're fun each playthrough. If I get trophies it's because I was already planning on doing whatever that was, not because I wanted the trophy.

"OMG nintendo does it again, they are finally listening to the fans! this is why i love them, i cant wait to get those mario and zelda achievements!"

I recalled Deus Ex for the Wiiu had some achievements, but that's the only game I recall having something like that. I guess individual games could have them, just not forced by Nintendo.

These are fun to have but not a game changer. Trophies don't add enough fun to any game to ever make for any major faults that game may have. Just an extra something to do. If only 1 console had this feature not many people would make this a deciding factor.

It's a great feature to be implemented on the Switch. My brother loves playing PS4 titles and banging them out for those platinum trophies. If it's not going to take something away from the Switch, it's a much welcomed feature.

I wouldn't have bought a switch day one had there been achievements. Say what you want, but they add so much play time to games that I would normally finish and never play again. Not to mention the idea of having sweet Mario and Zelda achievement times excites me. I know a lot of people who feel the same way I do about this. If they're not gonna compete graphically then achievements at least give them some equal ground.

Unless the cheevos unlock or add something it's pointless lol I never say the point of them on my 360

I always thought they should have had a system where when you get an achievement it adds to your score and unlocks a stamp usable in Miiverse, but they've done away with that, so that sucks. They need a good idea to set it apart, something seemingly tangible.

It would be cool if the achievement system came alongside their new online content announcement.
Still wondering when that is...I know it's next year, but they haven't specified a month...

I was never a fan of achievements, but I know a lot of folks that are achievement whores (I fucking hate them) they can make games not really fun anymore.
