Ok well two days ago i downloaded BioShocks Demo for the PlayStation 3 and from here on out i want to let every reader know that i have played BioShock 4 days straight on the Xbox 360 when it was released first on Normal and then on Hard and i managed to get 900GS out of it and the graphics and loading times were superb. Now having said that the playstation 3 demo version plays just like the xbox 360s demo so there will be no fanboying around here, I actually re-downloaded the 360's demo so i can do a side by side before writing this "review" so that everything will be equal."
The fourth game in the ‘BioShock’ series has been in development for more than a decade
Bioshock is one of my favourites franchises. I love all 3 games and have played each several times. I even have a room in my house that is loosely decorated around the theme of Bioshock (with a Lighthouse, coral models and postcards styled as though they are from both Rapture and Columbus).
And yet I am going to find it extremely difficult to get even remotely excited about any future episode in the series after all the problems this has had in its development cycle.
Leave the franchise alone. Remaster them again if you have to. Then put whatever talent you have to use on something brand new.
Since ken levine isn't involved i'm not surprised what's going on. i'm more excited for his next game which looks like bioshock. Yet he still works under take2 and they are making bioshock 4 without him, strange situation.
Yes. Judas. Looks brilliant, but it's one of those games that seems to never have had a release date. Instead it's had release windows that keep getting pushed back.
Once it's ready, I'll be there for it though. Ken Levine is an excellent developer.
I get the feeling he dissolved Irrational Games simply so that 2k couldn't tell him what to do. It seems it will pay off, but I feel sorry for those who worked as part of Irrational before it was dissolved, who hadn't independently made a name for themselves.

It sucks this game is in development hell because I love BioShock and would love a 4th game. I hope it turns out great, but I guess we'll see.
It's been in development hell since 2014. This is nothing new. It saddens me because it's one of my favorite series. At this point, Judas may end up releasing first.
Bioshock 4 (if it ever comes out) will probably still look and play like a Bioshock game, but without Kevin, it might miss that spark that made the originals so special. Honestly, Judas might end up feeling more like the real spiritual successor.

It's 10 years too late for a BioShock film. The world of Rapture would have been perfect for a film. It's actually a good candidate for proper utilization of 3D, for increased depth rather than bullshit popping out of the screen. It could really show off the underwater city that way. But BioShock as a brand is so irrelevant these days that a film just doesn't make sense. Especially considering it would need a big budget and top notch effects to really take advantage of the IP.
i agree on the bigger budget. all the cgi they'd need for the background.
but i think it would work better as a show. a movie would be too short to establish the story
Netflix greenlights anything, so that shows me very little faith in the project. Enough to just crap something out as they're, more and more, known to do.
its where b movies go to live, its run by democrats , dont expect anything good from netflix

And yes pog it is widely known sony uses more ram for the os.
Something like 40mb more.
But considering how much the system does other then games, it's not that bad.
On the texture side of things, yes it should look better.
and needs more af.
x2 blu-ray is slower then dvd@dvd's fastest read speed. But overall it's not alot. I think you've goto remember blu-ray is newer and holds 50gb. Dvd's started slower and in time became what they are today.
But you've goto admit some devs are better then others.
If you look at gt5p, there isn't a cleaner game out there. crisp as hell.
Btw i already played bioshock on pc, and got the good ending:) My brother got the bad one:)
I'm sure some of this will be fixed.
But tbh, i'm surprised with the amount of games coming out for the ps3, and there are some big ones, that they are rushing to release before any of those.

Since I've been posting comments on this website, I've seen nothing but endless comments by 360 fanboys ranting on and desperately trying to convince everyone that the PS3 not the graphical and powerful beast of console machine is presents itself to be. Whats wrong with you guys, are so insecure about your purchase you have to keep stressing that PS3 technology is overhyped to justify your purchase of a 360 over the PS3? Well just give up the ghost man! The PS3 has already proved it can outperform the 360 in the quality and graphics of it's exclusive games - just look at the top PS3 excluisves such as:
Unchartered - The textures and detail of the environments just gleam with graphical realism. The water effects are simply the most realistic and stunning you will ever see on a console yet.
Metal Gear Solid 4 - You all know this. Another exclusive title with stunning cinematic-style graphics, visual detail, sound and effects.
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue - The cars can only be described as phot-realistic looking. You would have thought you was watching car racing on a real TV if you knew nothing about video games!
Killzone 2 - Right now it is looking INCREDIBLE even though it ain out yet.
These games all display stunning graphics and special effects that the 360 is clearly not capable of producing. Most of the good multi-platform titles like COD4, DMC4, GTA 4, Oblivion, and Burnout now are either equal or even better on the PS3 (as those games stated have proved). YES sometimes there some multi-plat titles that look better on the 360, but it does NOT make it better than the PS3. Some developers choose the 360 as a lead platform and now thats changing from what I see. The 360 is still a great machine but it is not as powerful as the PS3, SO STOP FOOLING YOURSELVES! FACTS IS FACTS. I'm a PS3 owner and Sony fan but I dont always feel the need to bash the 360 to justify my purchase. I'm happy with my PS3 and you guys should be equally happy with your 360 without the need for any of us to bash each other's console's to make ourselves feel secure and justified about our purchase and console of choice.
@ Siligon and Road Rage the message for you guys is that simple - IF YOU DONT LIKE THE PS3 AND YOU BELIEVE IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY, THEN DONT BUY ONE. NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO BUY IT, NOR IS ANYONE EAGER TO HEAR WHY YOU CHOOSE TO BUY A 360. YOU DONT NEED TO JUSTIFY YOUR PREFERENCE OF 360 TO US. IF YOU DONT LIKE THE PS3, THEN DONT BUY, AND DONT COMPLAIN!
